Key to the gate by burzum, fucking insane, hard, heavy but yet beautiful song, if you don't know (you probably do but oh well) burzum is a one man band by Varg Vikernes, the man who burnt churches and murdered euronymous (mayhem guitarist) most raw black metal you'll ever hear and key to the gate is by far the best black metal song ever.
Fuck yeah, Taake! If you want more, react to Burzum, Drudkh, Winterfylleth, Saor (black metal with bagpipes!), Darkthrone, Wolves in the throne room... oh fuck, too many to recommend!
Taake is an amazing band. Probably one of my favorite bm bands from Norway. I wish I could see them live but they got banned from the US. Also dig Marduk, Enslaved, Immortal and Dark Funeral.
My man you have GOT to check out Black Tongue! Easily the heaviest band I've ever heard! They're the guitarist and drummer of Infant Annihilator, and their vocalist Alex Teyen absolutely destroys every other growler I've ever heard, his technique for his lowest growl is fucking insanity! Check out the song "I'm So Tired of Sighing. Please Lord, Let it Be Night". It's the last song on their last album, and it's literally and lyrically the summoning of Satan. The ending of the song is absolutely incredible, gives me goosebumps every time. And the groove riff in the second phase of the song is one of my all time favorite riffs. Here's a link to the song! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kDs_Nyd6-2M.html
Oh shit, you definitely need to turn your ears to some Infernal War, if you're going down the Black Metal hole. For specific songs I'd say Spill the Dirty Blood of Jesus (of course), Nihil Prayer, Into Dead Soil, Of Nihilistic Contentment, Terrorfront. If you want something slow and crushing, try Marduk - Accuser/Opposer, or Blond Beast. (And yes, Taake's vocals are in Norwegian. Song title translates to "Northbound")
Awesome reaction! Please check out 2 recommendations I have 1. Xanthochroid- To Higher Climes Where Few Might Stand. 2. Schammash Metanoia I think you will dig these a lot. The musicianship is amazing!
If you like metalcore then you probably like melodeath? If so then you will probably like melodic black metal. Sacramentium, lord belial, dissection. I have a full playlist of blackmetal albums on my channel if you want to check any out. Taake are a good band, I saw them early last year in glagow. They have a kinda rock n roll vibe to them which I enjoy. Also, heavy riffs > heavy tuning
I'm pretty 'mainstream' when it comes to Black Metal... Haven't really dived in yet but Naglfar's Sheol, Zornheym's Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns and Hoth's Oathbreaker are amazing albums.
You should check out Deafheaven. They're an american band with a very black metal influenced sound, and super atmospheric. I'm very partial to Vertigo which doesn't have a music video but I'd recommend Vertigo live in France 2013.
