Yep this just runs in the web browser with javascript so it has limited power. I think your idea is possible in some ways but it would require a whack of code.
I'm glad you found it! I've actually been working on it for my own use, and it's changed quite a bit since this initial video. The fundamental concept is still the same, but the editor looks quite different. I've used it to tab some stuff and it's pretty fun for me.
