Yes I absolutely love this dust collector!! If you have a salon or have your individual space, you need this dust collector!! It's a life saver because it collects all the dust, which means less cleaning!!

I'm a diy-er so I only need a dust collector that's appropriate for home use. I've been using the one from Melody Susie (the flat one that lays on the desk) for almost 2 years now and it's perfect for home use. But I can definitely see how this one you showed would be good for professional use. 💖💖💖

I bought a little Saviland table top dust collector that I use with my drill. I used it yesterday for the first time to remove gel polish and it sucked most of it into the filter. The table top didn’t really have any residue. I’m happy with it. I use it at home, not a professional.

Hi skyetoddmakeup, Thank you for your question. When it comes to ND2 filters, they are absolutely the best choice. We aren't aware of any other brand that produces dust collectors with HEPA13 filters. The HEPA13 standard speaks for itself. In response to your question, yes, our filter eliminates fumes as it includes an Activated Carbon filter. Thank you for your question, Nails Done team.

Wow, they work well but $585+ is a hell of an investment for a nail tech to make for just one small part of the many machines and gadgets we have to have on hand and replace overnight if any go down…I’m sure it’s worthwhile in the end but it’s a hard pill to swallow all at once. Probably something I’ll have to work my way up to justification 😂
@Jade10122
@Jade10122 7 месяцев назад
I can tell you how you can justify it. COPD and Acrylate allergy. Our profession is just as dangerous as a coal miner or someone who works in a ship yard. Inhalation hazards. Your lungs are nothing to play games with. I paid 1200 for my Nova Flair Desk unit. BEST investment I EVER made. I developed a persistent cough and asthma like symptoms. They disappeared once I got the unit. I knew it was from the dust. Doctor confirmed it. Also, a “build up” of acrylates will start to happen because you inhale the particles or have them on your skin. Your body will one day turn on you and you will be allergic to them. Acrylates are used in a lot of dental, and bone bonding, as well as surgery. If you become allergic, you’re screwed. Be kind to your body… it’s the only one you have.

I have it, but I didn't love the 2 filters and it didn't suck as well as I hoped. It was ok for pedicure but not strong enough to do mani. The mani is better with a downward flow since dust can get heavy. The switch also tended to break with my professional usage so I had to learn how to replace the switch which you can, they have parts available to buy.
@cjinpa5713
@cjinpa5713 7 месяцев назад
@@tlk715 thank you for your input. I been wondering so it’s nice to hear from someone that owns one and uses it in a professional setting. I was thinking I could see why something like this couldn’t go in the desk because the nail tech and the client would knock their knees on something that large but did thinking the downward pull would be better. Probably just keeping the one I have as an enthusiast does a good enough job that it doesn’t appear it wouldn’t be worth all those many more hundreds for someone like me.

@@nailsdone fair enough, but I do have a question. I am a bit ignorant to this as well so please forgive me. How do you dispose of it? Or how is it cleaned? The filter I mean.
@nailsdone
@nailsdone 7 месяцев назад
@@BaconIsYummy24-7 This is a great question! Each dust collector comes with a brief instruction manual, and later, we will release various instructional videos. In short, a thorough cleaning consists of two stages: cleaning the filter and cleaning the dust collector. To clean the dust collector, you don't even need to unscrew it from the table. Initially, you should remove the top part. Our arm stand allows you to rotate the dust collector in any direction, so you can simply overturn it, emptying all the contents without unscrewing it from the table. As for the filters, both models come with cleaning brushes included. The filters in ND1 are washable, which additionally simplifies the procedure.

For that price I'll purchase a Valentino and pay to have it flush mounted. Looking at your hands, this "centrifugal fan" isn't doing a better job of collecting dust. This isn't the first of it's concept and they didn't engineer new fans either so what justifies the cost when there is no R&D, only a redesign? I don't expect you to know that but be honest about the cost and the value. Unless you're getting perks to market their product for them then call it what it is...equivalent to other pro models but with a different design and orientation. Maybe, for a small few, the design is worth paying twice as much for.
@nailsdone
@nailsdone 7 месяцев назад
Hello Kinkytoes, Thank you for your detailed comment. You've raised several important points. You're right. Dust collectors positioned above the dust source might not capture the dust falling downward as effectively. However, our aim is to eliminate the airborne dust and ensure cleaner air. Inhaling dust isn't particularly healthy, and when it comes to choosing between a clean face/hair and a clean table, everyone has their preference. We opt for breathing clean air. Anastasia wonderfully demonstrated in the video how our dust collector catches the dust. Regarding the motor, yes we invented the centrifugal fans. You'd be surprised, but even Elon Musk didn't invent anything for Tesla. He simply used the best components available. No one previously utilized this type of motor and arm stands in nail dust collectors, which makes our product unique. We will be happy to answer your questions, Nails Done Team.
@kinkytoes
@kinkytoes 7 месяцев назад
Did you design the fan or design it to fit and function in a nail dust collector? Centrifugal fans, desk mounts, goosenecks, swivels and articulations, incorporating lights...none of these are new concepts and putting them together is smart and even creates something that is somewhat unique (ahem, Sun) but again... Since you haven't done any R&D I'm gonna need you to justify your asinine price tag that is far more expensive than tried and true professional units that cost half the price. Sorry, not sorry that although cool - I fail to see how your product is worth that kind of money when you're essentially admitting that we're still gonna need a flush mount. My collector collects about 97%-98%. You're going to have to do a lot better than that if you expect me, and other smart people, to drop a grand. Here's a tip though: since it is merely comparable to other units in performance why not price it comparably?
@nailsdone
@nailsdone 7 месяцев назад
@@kinkytoes Hello Kinkytoes, Thank you for continuing your interest in our product. For an honest answer, we need to know how you calculated that your dust collector collects 97-98% of dust? I dare to assume that this information is from the filter on your dust collector. If so, it means that your filter captures 97-98% of the particles that pass through it. And naturally, it captures 0% of those that don't. The placement of the dust collector above the source of dust allows it to capture the dust that doesn't make it into tabletop dust collectors, leaving your hair, face, and lungs clean, as I mentioned before. Regarding the price, our price is comparable to the price of dust collectors with a similar design. Best regards,
@kinkytoes
@kinkytoes 7 месяцев назад
@@nailsdoneThere are the claims and then there's experience with it. The wee bit that isn't captured can be inhaled, sure. But the cost of masks for years (high MOQ)+ $500 for a pro flush unit + the cost of install costs less than yours and yours is designed to capture just the residual airborne? Despite your best effort to sell me on this it isn't working. I looked into it because I do want something that captures 99% with little to no sound. To whomever produces *that* unit first... I'll spend $1k because I'll understand that you actually spent time and money researching and developing something truly unique. I won't be replying back because you're going to continue regurgitating the same marketing pitch and I'm going to continue tearing it apart. Best of luck to ya.

@nailsdone
@nailsdone 7 месяцев назад
Hello HealthtoBeautyNails, Thank you for your question. Yes, you'll be able to communicate with the client when the dust collector is on. How loud is our fan? It's quieter than competitors with a similar design. It might be louder than some desktop dust collectors, depending on what you're comparing it to. We can assure you that our product offers the best balance between noise and air suction power.
