I am a german I grew up with english Rock music the WHO are one of my favorites pure powerful english Rock still gets me going and my 67 years of age

Since I was ten year old to today (I’m 58 year old), Pete’s music has resonated in me like no one else’s music (with the exception of Herbert Stothart in the entirely different genre of film scoring). For each phase of my life, there are batches of Pete’s songs that play like soundtracks with my experiences.

I’ve loved The Who since I was 17. I’m 61 now and have seen them in concert many times. They are a wonderful part of my life.

I'm 56 and saw The Who in 1982 at the Pontiac Silverdome. It is amazing that Pete and Roger are still with us. ❤

Thank you My oldest daughter was diagnosed when she was 9 and spent years in the hospital until she was 15 and pronounced cured This is when I found out how much of an impact charities have in the process of helping these kids She is now 48 and married and has a good job and a great life So again thank you. Love this!! My husband, a local musician here in Syracuse, NY, USA is a Pete look-a-like. If you could see pictures of my husband from the early 80's next to Pete in the 70's - twins! I had to buy my husband a shirt stating "I'm Not Him" when he plays gigs! Big fan of Pete's and, of course, The Who!

Someone could meet Pete at a coffee shop and not realize who he is and never imagine his crazy windmill, guitar, amp smashing wild past. But probably hard to find someone that doesn't recognize him. He is definitely a Rock legend.

Great post Rachel and Pete! I love that you're using your position and influence in the world to help teens with cancer and that you produced a single with so much thought and heart! And I especially love that you're sitting in such an ordinary kitchen in ordinary clothes. It shatters the illusion that all celebs live in a rarified world so removed from the rest of the world. It's really nice to see Pete at ease and "pleasant". So many interviews he's often bitter and surly.

Not a big WHO fan here, but I do appreciate Pete’s work especially his writing collaborations with David Gilmour and nothing comes close to Who’s next for me, as being their most stellar body of work imo. The drumming, the bass work by the Ox,Pete’s playing & writing,Roger, all of them just firing on all cylinders.

Pete Townshend is the most erudite and intellectual Pop Star ever. He is always a good interview and does have something non-trite to say. He is also fearless in his honesty and never minces words. A breath of fresh air, and after seeing him play live with the Who multiple times he is one of the greatest Rockers of all time and a wonderfully engaging frontman.

Love the new song....new to me, just heard it today. I lost them all, when he passed away...I withdrew and they slipped away. Can't go home...I'm So alone. Something I wrote when I decided I had to deal with the truth.

The who is one of my favorite bands John is one of my favorite bass player after whating a documentary and how he plays the bass guitar I was amazed it was just something about it

Had Covid over Christmas, I had my shots but no booster, took in The Who in ‘74, Bloomington, Indiana. Pete can you remember anything about that time?

That was great , a side of Pete I'd not seen or considered and I'd not met Rachel. What a pleasure . Lockdown and a ricked back , damn ! The idea of a song from it is a great thing to do , especially with a talent like Pete in the garden shed with his horses .

Seems like all my life I’ve been following The Who. From the time I saw them in Atlanta Georgia in 1970 to the last time in Atlanta on their final tour ( the first final tour) where I took my 2 oldest, son and daughter, for their first rock concert. Ha ha, I was wondering who on earth this " Rachel " character was when I first watched a bit of this a few months ago. However, I've just finished ( like literally 5 minutes ago ) Pete's book and now it's all clear 🙂. The relationship all seemed so unsure at first and maybe doomed to failure but this is something wonderful that's stood the test of time and brought Pete great happiness, support and fulfillment in his life. Well done Rachel ( and well done Pete! ) . Love to you both .

They seem to fit hand in glove, which I think is rare in this day and age; especially 2 gifted musicians. Glad for both, using the lockdowns to still benefit others. 🙏 +

As a 60 year old teacher in a "Hard" school in the U.S., I Remember my favorite WHO song: HAD ENOUGH.

I was on his personal and eelpie websites 1999-2002/3 and got LOADS of amazing (often signed) stuff he was selling. He was a genuine pioneer of the internet, I think they say early adopter, and we could interact with him too back then (Bowie too!). His inquisitiveness, and his naivety, sadly got him Into trouble which ended up ending his website etc and nearly breaking him. But actually the guy knew about the dark Corners of the internet long before the mass media and governments woke up to the issues that are now so out of control that applying any controls now appear to be censorship, which is bollocks. The free speech tag applied to SO much of the internet is appalling. But we missed the boat. Bowie knew in his interview with Paxman in 1999. Townshend is a visionary human being, in both art and music and life in general.

Pete Townshend is most interesting man in the world. I'd pay just to sit in an auditorium and listen to him talk for a couple of hours. Only other person I heard with that gift of gab was Allen Ginsberg but, unfortunately, he passed away. When I was in school in Boulder Colorado, Mr. Ginsburg would come to the library and just talk for and hour. One time I saw him walking down the mall and offered to buy him lunch so we sat there for an hour and had a conversation. If I could buy you Lunch, Mr. Townshend, it would be a great honor.
