@@tabletopcp I use an Intelligence Officer with my British Late War Army Commandos. You can use a figurine to represent them and keep it with the Platoon Commander. That way, even after you have used their special ability, they remain as part of the command group and therefore can be used in any other actions they (the command group) are involved in (i.e., firing, assaulting, advancing etc.). The 'dice' is an invisible one in that you can specify when you roll to use their special ability. In that sense you pull a metaphysical dice at the start of the turn, kind of like drawing one from the bag, except you know it's going to be yours. I've found that they are best used when you really need to get the first shot at the start of a round, such as you have an enemy tank lined up and you want to increase the chance that you get to destroy it first before it can destroy you. The other time it works really well is when you are taking a Captain/Major, because you get to compound the initiative and give first orders to 1+3/1+4 sections/teams before your adversary can. That can compound further if you manage to take some of their dice, because the initiative probability swings your way.

@@stuarts9545 My Brother has taken an Intel Officer a couple of times now. He was part of a 4 man unit. Lieutenant; Intel and 2 x guys with ARs. When the Intel is used up, U have a nice little nasty assault team. :)

The Soft Underbelly book says the Intelligence Officer is just an upgrade: An Intelligence Officer is not a separate unit choice but an optional upgrade for an officer unit. Whereas the standard officer unit is allowed to be accompanied by up to two further men, the Intelligence Officer counts as a separate upgrade; in effect, a fourth man.

Yeah there's a good explanation in the Italy soft underbelly scenarios /campaign book. Maybe it's clearer than the French book , I don't have it to check, but they did a good job in the soft underbelly one (no extra dice just extra options plus extra squad member)

I got all that. It never mentions how you would use his dice if he is attached to an officer unit. Leading an intel squad makes sense but being attached does not.

@@tabletopcp Have access to the campaign book. Warlord site says all the extra rules are in this supplement, unfortunately I do not have this supplement. I think the answer is in the supplement. I have asked Warlord the question.

Got ‘em off eBay years ago. Haven’t seen them for a while. Try the 3d print market. People are making things like them now

Yeah that game looks pretty cool.

I don’t think I will be making any more, but they are scrubber pads glued to a base then I glued various colors of lichen to them.

I wouldn’t mind to try something like that. We have tried pulp alley and 7tv. Both are fun narrative games. I want to do something with zombies. Like Walking Dead.

@travh20 well I'd like to watch a few games like that. The game "the silver bayonet" is REALLY appealing and ive NEVER played napoleonic games!! It just looks so cool with the figures they make!! And musket guns vs monsters just has to be done!!! Lol 😆

For me just the cost of paint and brushes. I paint them myself.

Dunkelgelb is the base color. It’s a dark yellow. Camo colors are flat brown and green

Yeah we played a few games when it first came out. The problem was it used first edition Bolt Action rules and came out at the same time second edition came out so it was a pain to try and keep two editions in my head
