Maybe every time you go tack shopping you should give the girls a budget, but this time tell them that whatever they have left over can be added to their total next time. This will teach them about saving money and being patient instead of buying everything at once

Gabby, the reason Willow thinks picking her chestnuts is a sign to pick up her hooves is because putting pressure on chestnuts or hocks is a way many farriers use to get them to pick up their hooves. Probably someone has used that technique on her.

I’m a bit like both girls, I want everything I see but at the same time when I only have a certain amount of money it takes me forever to decide.

The price difference shocks me every time! Le mieux saddle pads are £35 over in the uk!

Some horses bite off their own chestnuts my horse loves it and grooms me back. Some horses and people use squeezing the chestnut as a que to pick up their feet xx

U should add water to the horses feed as horses are not supposed to eat dry food xx

Gabby you should have a tab with your mum where you can go tack shopping but you have to pay your mum back by doing heaps of jobs or you could even babysit! But the thing is you cannot spend more than $500 and you can’t buy anything else until you are under $100. I am also soooooo like Sophie where I want everything I see!!!

50 dolars? My budget is maximum 10 dollars. I once got a some 30 dollar breaches and it was so expensive! Welcome to the poor life of a eastern european teen.

I'm definitely like Sophie when it comes to shopping. Me : * Sees cute stuff * Oh MI GOODNESS GRACIOUS Mum : Remember only 3 things allowed! Me : yea yea * 5 seconds later * Me : * comes back with at least 50 items * Mum : Now choose your favourite 3 me : Pleeeeeaassseeee can I keep all of it ? Basically I only choose 3 things.... ahem most of the time, but it's so hard to choose under budget!

If I had £50 (because I’m from the uk we say pounds) I would buy a body protector (there’s one that I like and it’s £30) I would also buy a whip/crop (£10) and finally a fly mask or fly rug. I don’t have a horse or pony but this is what I think I would buy as for us in the uk there is so many horse flies and also I don’t have a body protector yet or a whip/crop I have to use my stables ones.

I would buy a Lemieux saddle pad £35 ish and one of the matching yard cleaning item (yard brush, feed bucket or feed bin ) xx

I definately shop like Sophie. For $50 I'd get a fly mask & treats, but at our overpriced feed/tack store getting both would likely be over budget.

Great video. Sophie's face with the price of the scissors was fantastic,(I would of been the same!!) Also Sam made me laugh in the background with the fly fringe?? Not sure if that is what you call them!! Horse gear is so expensive, I have to make mine last as long as possible. Next I am after a saddle pad.

On my list right now is FLY STUFF! We are being attacked by flies from he!!. They are just everywhere! I've tried to find the Ranch Flytraps locally but can't find them. I've been trying to get different traps to see which works best. Same with fly sprays for the horses! It's crazy how many flies are out here!!!!!

If you guys plan on riding Finn in the winter, I would blanket him as it keeps his fur shorter so he doesn’t sweat when in work. If their coat is very thick he will sweat and then get cold because his sweat will freeze.

I don’t mean this in any hate cause I love watching y’all but I see Finn rubs his tail have you guys ever thought about getting a tail bandage when you travel or put him in his stall at night?

I have a fleece girth cover and it really helps with horses that have sensitive under arms and not trying to be mean but I think Gabby should learn how to use the polo wraps for stormy because she’s jumping him higher jumps and needs protection on his tendons there are tutorials on RU-vid on how to do them it’s just a suggestion tho or use her Jumping boots

If i had $50 (£50 for me) I'd buy... -a new pastel pink halter/head collar -treats for the horses at the stables -new brushes (I love brushes😂) Even though I don't have a horse you are allowed to use your own stuff (stirrups,treats,brushes,halters etc) but not saddles and bridles x

It's pretty normal to pick chestnuts as long as they're ready to come off! I've seen some people enjoy doing it, and some just don't.

Ha ha Laura, did make me laugh when you said about all the tack stuff you’ve bought in the past that wasn’t needed, it’s amazing how it all adds up. Perhaps you should have a sort out and try and sell some it it, put up an ad in the lesson barn or even take it when you go to shows ( if that is something that happens where you are), then any money mode can be spent on things you do need lol. I must admit I have a tendency to accumulate rugs, can’t resist a bargain and it’s always good to have a few spares ( well that’s what I tell myself anyway ) 😂 I’m probably more of a Sophia shopper at first, want lots of things, but then ponder over what I really want and half the time can’t make my mind up and leave empty handed! I think Sophia shopped very well and got more for her money and also something for herself and ponies, whereas Gabby’s gloves will probably be useful too. Sadly I don’t have a horse but I guess I would try to buy breeches and maybe all the grooming essentials (curry comb hard/soft brush hoof pick etc I know there’s more but I don’t rlly need the others since don’t own a horse) know the prices cause I haven’t shopped for horse riding things in so long. Even though I don’t own a horse and I think it’s unnecessary to buy your own brushes when you don’t own or lease a horse but that would be the only thing I could think of that would benefit me other then breeches cause most horses that I ride I don’t need a riding crop ( I know this is very long but I just decided to write all this it took me like a million years 😂)

Do u use hoof oil or grease on ur horses hoofs just because I have never seen u use it on them and it is very important as it stops there hoofs cracking and keeps there hoof strong and healthy on the outside and inside of the hooves not hating just looking out for ur horses xx

Sophie’s socks and sliders is 100% acceptable 😂 during summer in the uk soooo many people wear socks and sliders. It’s socks and flip flops or sandals which is horrific 😂😂💗

Actually having goats is a blast! The boys are mean but they are cute!

My mom and I have 30 year old Girths ranging from a size 36 all the way to a size 52. They are leather, all of them are still like new with awesome elastic. Good oil and conditioning and they are amazing.

Also the girth sleeve instead of a fluffy girth is better as he will get less sweaty, you can take it off and wash it and it's cheaper to replace each time

Okay, the first thing I would go to is the fly masks and fly spray because I find that I am always running out of fly spray and my horse likes to rip his fly mask to shreds... I am super careful with my money because when I first started riding, my parents said that I would buy everything for myself... I still do and I even bought my horse, hard work and dedication come handy! Great video!

The tacks store I go to you go up to the desk and say we’re on a budget and she helps find things that are within your budget range it’s a great way for beginners to find good quality things

Here’s what I would buy Treats Teal saddle pad -the one gabby WAS going to get- Teal halter and lead rope A couple brushes Hair bands or mane bands or tail bands, rubber bands A bridle and that’s it, over budget but still!!

Honestly for all these comments on “they don’t need more tack” or whatever else comments are being made. Please remember being Sophia and Gabbies age again. I know for me aswell any money I had went on tack I maybe didn’t “need”. Sam and Laura can financially support the girls and their horses and are giving them the money to do this. Clearly it’s not turning them into spoiled entitled girls - they’re still out there picking up after their horses and doing the dirty work involved in horse ownership. Let them enjoy getting new stuff and being proud when their ponies are wearing it!!

Gabby should get the le mieux tendon boots for storm I have a pair for my own pony. Their about $100 depending on where u buy them.

If I had $50 I'd try to get new paddock boots. I've been stepped on my so many horses so both my boots are DESTROYED 😂
