In the last couple years I've really limited my tackle purchases. The advantage is that you can spend more time learning the ins and outs of each bait. I like having a small catalog of baits, knowing what I can and can't do with them.
Hey Windy: great organizing techniques; the bigger the collection, the bigger the challenge. I like your labelling (you even labelled yourself "OCD" ha ha). I found that most sizes of original full bags fit nicely inside a extra 8"x7" freezer SLIDE LOCK bag cheap from Dollarama. This technique prevents the mfr's label from wearing off, AND I like to put back bait after use (the used but still recycleable bait) BETWEEN the two bags for next time out.
Yeah, you've got a lot. I've seen and am jealous. I haven't really gotten into tournaments. There aren't many big lakes near me, so I'd have to travel a ways, but I may try a few this year. We'll see. Thanks for watching.
WindyCityBassin anytime you want any advice just yell at me with the tournaments and by the looks of this you have no need to be jealous. Your ready for tournaments.
Damn, you have baits for weeks brother. 🎣🇺🇸👍🏻🍀 utilize them slowly, try not to buy anything unless you run out of that certain package. Awesome collection 🤘🏻
Thanks man. It is a ton of lures, but some of them are quite old. This is 20 years+ of collecting, although a lot is in the past 5 years. It's slowed down considerably as I've been able to hone in on some key baits/companies in each category. Thanks for watching!
Oh man I wish I had half of those baits. One of these days I'm gonna come up there and we'll have to catch some fish! I just started using a drop shot. Using a bubblegum color trick worm for a challenge on my channel. Anyways keep it up bro, loving the channel and watching the growth!
I'll see what I can make happen. Where are you located? How far from Chicago are you? Also if you don't mind giving me a sub I would appreciate that as well.
You should also make a video on catching sturgeon because I really want to hook into one this spring. Even if you were to get my number I just have questions and of course I could spend money on heavy gear but to me that's not worth it. I've been watching videos on people using dead fish and catching sturgeon, they're also using really big hooks as well.
I did that sturgeon video a few months ago. I didn't really get into what I was using, but I keep it simple, small hook and nightcrawlers work very well. It's all about location on the river though. Sounds like you guys went on a bad day last year. It can be hit or miss.
Yeah, I believe it's the Plano 3701. Check tacklewarehouse of bps. I got mine at bps. They're pretty nice and could be used for other baits as well. I though about laying out jerkbaits in them as mine are all bunched up and hooks get stuck together.
I'll keep that in mind. I did want to do some sort of video on my old lures, but wasn't sure if there was enough interest. I've got tons of heddon, creek chub, shakespeare, pflueger, and all sorts of oddballs. Its even more expensive of a hobby than fishing!
Thanks. It's true. A few months ago challenges were the big thing. Now that winter is around, people are doing rod/reel arsenals and tackle tours. Maybe one day I'll be able to lead more than follow. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
I fish around the Dells a few times a year, but focus on sturgeon in the WI river mostly. Otherwise I'll bring the boat up and hit up Geneva or Delavan. Haven't fished much else up there though. I'll be up there more in 2017 though. So many more lakes than IL.
no luck, we kept seeing one follow and even slowing down didn't do any justice. lets go fishing together sometime man, in a few weeks we will be taking the boat out. your more than welcome!
Bucks Bass Fishing I see you spamming all of the googan squads videos... don't pretend you don't know how he's doing it... I watch a lot of fishing and you both spam a bunch of other people's videos to gain subs. I've seen you both... it's really fricken annoying...
