He has a great voice, and did a great job of bringing a new approach to classics that at the time had faded away, for instance 'putting on the Ritz' is an almost 100 year old song now, and probably wouldnt be relevant at all today if not for Taco's performance

The problem with Taco was that most of his albums weren't released in America or English country's or state, but France was the release of his albums.

That's why the album called "After Eight" did good because it was released on Europe and North America

“Mas Que Nada” was never released as a single or promoted on television anywhere as far as I know. There has been a bunch of television performances for “Superphysical Resurrection,” which was released as a single, that have been added to the channel.

There is nothing wrong with that. Some great songs were written then. And he does a great job with them.

A lot of it was because he said he came from a musical theater background and with it developed an appreciation for the Great American Songbook. Then, especially after “Ritz” became a hit, he said he became expected to stick largely to that style of music.

He is, maybe not in the USA, but the rest of the world likes what he does.

I agree with the last part but honestly Buble is crap. Connick Jr is so much better singer and player, I guess he just decided he didn't care.

By the time he did this, he was mainly releasing music in Germany. He has said he willfully chose to give up trying to be that big after the second album. He said he would have had to live in America to really do that and he considered himself mainly European and he felt that trying to work in America any longer would have been very lonely and isolating and it wouldn’t have been as tight-knit a work life as he likes. He was being encouraged to fly first class on planes and not mingle with his backup band and he felt that wasn’t the kind of show business career he wanted.

He couldn’t be stuck doing synthesized swing covers always. It was clear by that this time that his 15 minutes of fame internationally was up and he was mainly focused on his core market where he lived in Germany. Artists must be allowed opportunities to expand their brand musically and add new styles to it.

Music companies, especially based outside of America, wouldn’t be spending that much money, especially on a more niche performer at this point like Taco.
