Thanks for the review. Coolest thing would be the sticker. Didn't get $130 worth of stuff this month!!! I feel like the monthly subscription boxes are just packed up with clearance crap that didn't sell.
I called out TacPack on that range finder. I emailed them and said I got the CL600 and not the XL. They gave a generic reply saying it was a typo on the content card. 🙄🙄
Tacpac is always a weird one for me. Like even the stuff that is neat like the bag, I've already bought 2 or 3 that suit my purpose. I know as a casual shooter I'm not really the target audience at all. But even when I was much more into the gun world as a hobby, it always seams like everything that is really good I would have already bought something of similar quality. The rest ends up parts I may or may not use, but I guess works as trade fodder? It would be interesting if they maybe split out boxes or had two. A builders box, more focused on parts and building. and a Range box, more focused on hitting the range and shooting. Maybe even break them up as well as a AR box and Glock box even for building?
I had a dude invited out to my range who ALMOST put a mag of 5.56 into his 300BLK. Thankfully, we caught him in time. 300BLK won't chamber in a 5.56, obviously, but the other way will work...until you pull the trigger. Should someone that inattentive be allowed to handle firearms? Probably not but, best I could do was not invite him back. I have two AR-15 uppers, in different calibers, but they're 5.56 and 458 SOCOM. Hard to get those mixed up! Plus, 'B' won't chamber at all in to 'A', and 'A' falls straight through 'B'...so it's a non-issue, safety-wise. However, I do have two AR-10's - one in .308 and one in 243Win...and they're REALLY similar. So I have bands for those, just in case.
I finished basic back last March and they don't call them Ivan's anymore. The drill sergeants called me old for calling them that. Well I was 50 at the time so I was a little "Seasoned"!!
I think the 6.5 and Creedmore rounds, maybe 300 Black out all fit in a very similar size 5.56 mag. Gun and face maybe gone loading and somehow detonating the wrong round!
Maybe the bands are to make sure you don't run your 300 blackout through your 5.56 barrel, if you are loading same mags and running both types of AR's.
Those blue bands are for your Instagram pics dont ya know 🤣, I dont see how someone could mix up 300 blk with 556 they look nothing alike. I have a cheap $50 amazon range finder and it works great, from 3 feet to 3xx yards which is as far as ive used it and havent had trouble registering on different materials. However you can get misreadings if lots of limbs are in the way, but I assume that would be an issue with any of them 🤷.
You don't see how it could happen? It happens frequently theaga are the same in a hurry grabbing some mags not checking them it's super easy for that my buddy did it had boxes for 5.56 and 300blk mags a 300blk mag found it's way into the 5.56 box didn't. Check mags almost lost his thumb
@shadedude6games oh I know it definitely happens lol in fact I know someone who bought a 300 thinking it was 556 and tried to run 556 in it, thankfully nothing happened but he wasn't paying attention to what he actually bought. I guess he didnt know 300 existed or just went off the looks I guess I dont know.
@@shadedude6games what you described is entirely neglect on the part of the operator. I can't imagine what kind of a hurry anyone can be in to not safely check rifle, ammo, and remember that safety is the number 1 factor with firearms. The scenario you're describing is carelessness. I admit I forgot 300 Blackout even exists because I either shoot 5.56 or .308 with AR. But if someone does own two platforms, with ammunition that can used in the same magazines and they mis-load one into the other due to thier own failure to take the time to separate ammunition & double check thier loads, that sounds like someone who needs some remidial training.
