@@dual_5928probably because they had a 5th choice centerback and a rb playing at lb which didn't help in build up. Shaw was gonna start but wasn't fit
@@aakarmamtora3470 yup but still even tottenham are missing players but they still play well... All I am saying is man utd is not that great at executing their tactics that is why they are losing games lately regardless of the personel if they have a philosophy of play it should be clear from the get go. Something is wrong they should have a pattern of play. They are bit clueless in offense mostly
Don't underestimate the Højbjerg-Bentancur partnership, they can dominate the midfield against any team. they did last time Spurs had a good run, but Bentancur got injured and Højbjerg out of favor, but now they where back (called in as backups) and I'm not surprised by the result.
Yeah because united didn't have any players missing at all. Martinez, casemiro, shaw, mount and martial all out. Plus malacia maguire and lindelof are also injured who are depth players. But nooo let's only make excuses for poor little spurs. Injuries effected both teams so take off your united hating glasses and look at it properly
Please can you do a tactical analysis on the Real Barca game please. Cuz I think Xavi was too naive and his lack of experience showed from playing a high line against a team like Madrid.
Translation of the first few minutes: United have no actual plan for the trigger or press and instead just chased their player around like headless chickens opening up passing angles.
Given the quality of the squad only this no style is possible because these players can't play a specific style of football so only hope is a huge clearout
@@MK12275 Sure thing, mate. Every single United player is absolute dross and can't play any tactical style at all. 🤡🤡 We have more talent all but maybe 3 or 4 teams in the league. We just don't use it. Even if we somehow didn't (Which is just bollocks), Ten Hag was given half a billion to spend on improving the squad. Brighton would get two teams of quality players for half a billion. There are no more excuses for Ten Hag. He just isn't good enough.
This doesn’t show ange switching up his tactic where Bentacur became dm, porro played more rcm, and hoj rotated to rb This video only shows the first part of first half at most
I think it bears mentioning that Tottenham deliberately "retreated" back to VDV and Romero many times in the second half to bait United out of the low block, and then snapped into action with incisive line-breaking passes and dribbles. It's really similar to what Liverpool have done for a while now ('cause everyone is scared shitless of them) in creating artificial transitions to make space for themselves while retaining the ball.
Yeah ange is good at getting the players to create their own space through strategic positioning. It can be risky but it really speeds the game up when youre on the front foot
You hear names like martinez casemiro and shaw and then realize all of them are missing for a team so it's obvious they're gonna struggle defensively. Yet people won't point it out because it's united
@@hariantowijaya1937that doesn’t mean playin awb as left back bruh, if you saw the game we got hit from left side more because of the lack of expertise there
AWB was on the right because Hag identified Johnson as a threat and he did really well to nullify it. Dont forget Spurs missed Maddison, Son, Kulusevski, Bissouma and Sarr. Romero, Van De Ven and Bentancur are also just back from long injuries.
This game cried out for a Lo Celso off the bench, he would have been way better receiving the ball in the half-spaces and turning into space. Oliver Skipp is a good player but lacks that vision that maybe Lo Celso would have brought onto the pitch. I thought Bentancur did a better job at receiving the ball at the half-spaces but still was a bit wasteful.
@@stephensmith4240 I never mentioned they had Lo Celso on the bench A player like Lo Celso would have maybe given that killing edge for that Spurs team
Ten Hag's tactical plan is to have no plan. Utd play like a bunch of individuals there is no plan - as shown by Rashford never passing or crossing the ball and always trying to take on everyone any chance he gets
No when you have players like son maddison and bissouma ( press resistance) you'll find trouble for yourself and you'll need lots of energy to man mark udogie and porro bentancur whem playing the 6 is press resistance so imagine having bissouma and maddison all in midfield will be very dangerous with son up front
@@ukwatakelvin6694 bro, the thing is how Ten Hag setup the players since the start of this season has been shit every game so far. Tbh I would've come up better gameplan than Ten Hag
