I found this helpful when I got my ti lite 6 two years ago as a both a review and for understanding how to use the weapon in the worst case scenario which would be to defend my life or the lives of loved ones. In Scotland we have no chance of carrying this thing in public, we had very high levels of knife crime for a large part of the last century and it's Still pretty bad compared to the rest of United Kingdom and even Europe. For defending yourself in the home it's very decent, the very sight of this thing is a deterrant to anyone who would do you harm. Even undeployed it can act as a baton, the only similar knife I've seen with as much functional and psychologic impact is the spyderco matriarch 2 (which I also have) Better to have and not need than need and not have, it's also better to know how to use these things, you have my graritude for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate your input and classical training. I would just add that using a knife offensively on someone with any experience, will likely result in getting cut. This video seemed to have an offensive slant. Maybe the best way to avoid "gambling," is to allow the opponent to act first and tell you what to do. I like the Ti Lite, and have my eye on one.

Do you incorporate into your training to cut the triceps, biceps and the insides of the thighs to instantly render the opponent immobile and where he cant use his limbs nor be able to use that arm to punch or hold onto a weapon?

I think what you are trying to say in this video is that you need to use your own forward momentum in different directions to allow yourself to continue fighting with out getting hung up or caught up in a position where you can't react it's like the the old saying water is always flowing it changes its shape and direction every time it's met with an obstacle and continues flowing like water you need to be able to continuously flow or you will get hung up in a bad position allowing your attacker to hurt you or even kill you so every movement you make needs to be have a counter move that allows you to rest with another attack simultaneously where eventually you can be so good that all of your techniques can be slung together in 1 continuous motion like an elaborate dance and to an attacker you just look like someone they'd be crazy to mess with.

If some how you do break the blade from stabbing, you can always beat them to death with the handle. I own this knife in the new steel and it is just a beast and very intimidating. I hope I never have to use it for it's intended purpose but if I do, man I feel bad for the other guy.

Jeans or no jeans it's not an edc for most that's for sure. Unless they like carrying a long metal object in their pocket all day :/ .... I switched to the 4 inch aluminum version instead...

Nice theory, but you must be cool like an ice block to act like so in an emergency situation. When adrenalin rushes trough your body, you shut down to just simple moves. You start breathing like a chain smoker and your heart is pounding like a drum. Even your vision might change. In such a confrontation - even you win, you loose. I would like to see from you more teaching, how to avoid situations like that. Thank you.

Best is not to fight, period, lol! You cultivate daily to "roboticalize" yourself with simple or complex movements and "branwash" yourself with the moves, then when in emergency, you can use it. Just doing it a few times can enver give you anything useful in real situation. You must do so daily, many times, in order to get it working. True expereince from a martial art background here, I am sure many fighers will understand this too. Fancy moves are bullshit - but not bullshit if you cultivate for it to naturalize in you.
