I absolutely love this knife; it feels like carrying a sword, almost! I came to watch this prior to getting the necessary drivers to disassemble it (but mostly to make sure there weren't any dirty tricks to its construction). Thanks for doing this!
Thanks Nick, I had trouble putting mine back together after cleaning it. Watched your video and no problems. These are very well made knives, but not for everyone. Great video.
Looks like that Ti-Lite VI has given a few Sicilian “neck ties” , especially with those “Capone screws”. Are you sure Shabazz isn’t short for Shabazzilionni? Happy Holidays sir and thank you for your unbiased reviews.
Brilliant and informative video. Don't know if I would feel confident to give it a go but I'll find someone who can teach me. Then I can do all my knives.
Hey Nick mind doing some Ganzo firebird reviews, I plan on giving and maybe even receiving a few if those this Christmas...try not to be too harsh haha. Happy Holidays!
as a personal note, i would rather polish with a dedicated compound the rusted arear and the entire scales. for some reason i beleive rust is more easy to catch on sanded surfaces. ill get mine today, Zytel and AUS8. For maintaining ill put alot of oil inside and blow compressed air from every angle.
Definitely my favorite all around edc and thanks to a RU-vidr knife thrower, favorite edc throwing knife as well....what size are the washers? Need to replace and no ruler lol
Cold you please give us a list of the cleaning products you are using. The liquid one also the rust protection. I'm down here in Australia and I don't think we have the exact brands you are using.
Are you sure this isn't a clone, the clip doesn't match, there is no Teflon in between the phosphor washer and the blade. Also the cold steel doesn't sharpen the blade all the way to the sharpener choil. Maybe it's an older one but I've owned a few of these and never saw that.
Nice vid. I opened mine up about 3 months back and used the opportunity to take a dremel to the thumb stud window. Much easier to close, much nicer on the thumb, and looks like CS did it at the factory. Which begs the question, what the hell were Thompson and Demko thinking? Hmmmm, another pig vid maybe? While repugnant, it’s effective marketing. I bought....a few...
I enjoy your videos Nick but to characterize the Ti Lite as "ridiculous" because you disagree with Lynn Thompson's philosophy of use is tantamount to nothing more than name calling. I carry the Cold Steel six inch Ti Lite every day. I vary between the Zytel Handle, the Aluminum and the G-10. It carries quite comfortable in the pocket. While I am sitting at my desk I don't feel it at all. As I carry multiple knives on a daily basis I have the satisfaction of knowing that if God forbid I am ever confronted with a deadly force attack I am able to respond with a degree of force that is reasonable, necessary and suitable to the confrontation. In fact if your philosophy of use includes self-defense then the Ti Lite is a knife that I would consider indispensable. Tailoring your comments toward the distinction between your philosophy of use and the philosophy of use of a person disposed to carry the Ti Lite would better serve your viewers and would have less of a chance of turning people off. Hopefully some food for thought my friend.
Nick Shabazz so tactical question for a tactical knife...bad guy sitch....he has a belt on, leather jacket, a chain on and other hard materials.....you've wrestled to the floor. There is a wall, pavement and a car door near by. You have to end the dude with a stab. But there is a very good chance the knife will hit something hard....full force, does the liner lock stop your fingers getting cut off when the stab ends with a hard surface?
DARTH VAPER just get you a fixed blade dagger problem solved but that could shattered and sind shards into your eye you could use a gun but major malfunction could blow up and shardss into your eye maybe you should just run hide in a cave but then there's the cave crickets I don't know what you should do
DARTH VAPER Nick has stated multiple times that he doesn't carry a knife for self defense. I don't think he'll have a satisfactory response to your hypothetical.
astrayael well that thing is not designed for cutting lol. ..Nick is reviewing it, so I think its a fair question about the knife. Not questioning Nicks personal carry taste in knives. I know the knives he likes, I a fan of the channel.
