Loving how you consistently put out these videos. You're single-handedly keeping my interest in Tactics Ogre Reborn. I have a bit of an unrelated question, but have you tried Fae Tactics?
It's been on my list, I've heard good things in FFTA comparisons, and seen some videos, but life's been too hectic to add anything else to the plate right now.
22:45 I think that is a holdover from the PSP version of TO, where a Ranger with Jigyla set and maxed out Bowskill/Dark Aug/Anatomy would literally one shot any non boss/monster unit. Double Shot was just redundant. With the changes to bow damage in Reborn, Archers are the clear winner for best Jigyla user.
How elemental & phisical resist work in reborn is like a blessing and curse itself. Its make easier to build particular physical defense while entirely ignore those element resistance. Hope they rework their code for good, also agi, dex, avo interaction.
Agility and Avoid is interesting in how much of a difference it can make when you stack for Avoid. It's definitely grown on me over the last few months. Blessing and Curse is a really good way to describe it all.
The ogre set also greatly boosted magic damage. You could absolutely wreck enemies with spells once obtaining it. It was such a headache getting the set though.
Chokers could be useful on a winged caster, like Canopus lich or winged cleric, rune fencer that was raised with Vertan stats. But maxed out relic rings will do better I think.
@@CoffeePotato that's why I said Vertan raised winged guys, since only thing they lack is a huge pool of MP, instead getting tons of HP. Ops ignore rune fencer, I forgot conserve MP. But yeah other good finishers too.
Hi, an off the topic question. I'm playing One Vision. Im in Phorampa Scenic Knoll. I have the crissaegrim equipped on Ozma and hit a dragon. Suddenly on the second hit a dopple version of Jeunan comes out the Dragon!! (Jeunan was situeated two steps behind Ozma.) This second copy of Jeunan then starts to fight me! Is this a glitch? I have NO CODES ENABLED. I have never used any codes during my playthrough. Presently Im charioting trying to get the petronel to drop from this dopple Jeunan (as he has the exact gear of my Jeunan) but he only drops cards.lol.
I had that reported some time ago as a very rare glitch, it also happened with ozma and while she had fearful impact active. It's hard to say why it happens, it could be anything and considering how rare it is, it probably isn't worth reworking crissaegrim or taking fearful away from ozma because of it. The doppel jeunan doesn't have an item drop/steal list, nor a specific drop chance set for his gear, so he would in theory be able to drop only the equipment that has a default drop chance, which Petronel doesn't have so it will never drop.
@@raics101 Wow, thanks for the response Mr Boss. Yes, Ozma has fearful impact on her. Too bad I cannot get a second Petronel. Might I take this opportunity to congratulate you for a very well done mod. It is 1000 times better than the original. It plays like GUNGNIR for PSP in that you have to count the enemies reach and position your characters just outside their hitbox. Every tile on the battlefield is now significant unlike the original that I have beaten without ever using rampart aura. So its in essence a cat and mouse game and you always have to counter act and can never go head to head. I am COMPLETELY enjoying it. I did Potd before the Temples to know exactly what the augments were for the strongest weapons so I could fully maximise my team for CODA. I notice, however, that there are no Ubber strong light or Dark 2 handed weapons. This means that the White and Terror knights will always be at a disadvantage as they will never get a powerful weapon to match their instills. Even Ghehenna my last hope was changed to fire...Also, Azelstan has aug 3 water and high dex but the best 1h swords/katana are dark and earth which means that I either have to abandon his aug water or use an inferior weopon. I acknowledge that you have done this as a way to balance the classes. All in all still a wonderful mod but inefficient weapon choices to make sure characters dont become too powerful. Well done sir. p. s. would it be theoretically possible to recruit this dopple Jeunan. Too bad I didnt have any characters with recruit active to test this out... damn
@@universalman5861 Maybe it's best if we never find out if he can be recruited, if you had two the universe might collapse of chad overload :) There are pretty strong 2h light and dark weapons near the top, and you have masamune for azelstan. There's a full chart in my gdrive folder (link in the readme in the archive you downloaded).
@@raics101 It happened again in the Reisan Way. Again with Ozma/Crissaegrim /fearful impact. This time I had recruit enabled but even when you drain the Dopple Jeunan Hp down to single digits he is still 0% recruitable. Since I cant get anything this is now more of an annoyance as my Jenan has Petronel /Kali equipped and is hard to kill. I will have to be careful about using fearful impact with Ozma on difficult maps. I don't know why it is always Jenan or why he looks ghostly like the Doppelgangers of the final boss in the main game.
Yup, but largely for their hard armor bonus and universal wearability. Depends on the situation, like Lightning Gauntlets block Water and all that, but I feel like they're a solid addition to just about anyone that can wear them. Luminants are helpful for BoS, Hellforge are good vs Ice, but Daedalus feels like the more universal choice. Tier lists are weird this time around given how just about anything can have a role, though
I think that might be the freude Helm? Judging by being late game (101-115 PotD) and the icon. Archon helm might be an older name for it. Basically, the dark skull mask and light freude helm drop in the same area.
@@CoffeePotato Jiggy works on grenades. It's equivalent damage to a HG weapon, except after you're out of items you're still a Jiggy user. I feel like I need to tell everyone this for weeks before people will notice.
