Yes people think Seokjin letting his baby do all he wants to him or pulling him by shoulder or being the loud one in their moments is Dom behaviour. 😂 Well things are always different on bed sheets.😁 especially bondage relationship. I love this so much!! Not just for the obvious adorable and cute taejinnie moments but I love how informative you made it! I appreciate you and the time and work you put into this!! I was aware about the different honorifics and ofc informal/formal bc that specifically also exists in my native language so I'm a bit familiar with that. But, I wasn't aware of the depth of everything and some of the different banmal and stuff so thank you for teaching us!! ^_^ I found it specially interesting when you mentioned the "I love you my stupid" I had no idea about that and it is very cute! I mean he's not actually saying to jin to disrespect or to tease jin but to shows how the people of daegu used dialect when they got angry.

As much as I have seen, the maknae line drops Seokjin's honorifics more than the hyung line but he doesn't mind that much. Seokjin may scold his members for not using the honorific here and there but still he doesn't mind.

No 😭 then you don't know Korean. Jikook doesn't drops honorifics with Seokjin at all. Jimin is not all, Jk seizes the opportunity sometimes in games being brat. But Taehyung does it casually. And you don't know Korean. They really mind it when people don't talk with them formally unless they are very very close to you. Seokjin doesn't like it that's why his members tease him.

I have personally rarely seen jimin dropping honorifics. Even when he does, he has a sly look in his face bcz he knows Jin won't like it. And he does it with other hyungs too in the same way. But he is very respectful in their casual conversation. Jk knows that Jin loves him a lot & he is most bratty with Jin . So sometimes he talks casually but his tone is almost always formal. Also in my opinion Jin has always been partial for jk & he treats him like his real younger brother. That's why jk has a lot more freedom with Jin among all bts members.( tae is another story, of course)

Same aged things are different in korea. Like Yoonjin, Vmin, Namseok. They talk to eo in banmal or informally except yoonjin. But Seokjin is not only their hyung but mathyung which means oldest so they can't talk to him informally. Taehyung is extremely respectful about his tone when he speaks his other hyungs except Jimin and Seokjin. Jimin and he have born in Same year so he can talk to him informally that's why you will rarely hear Taehyung calling him hyung. But with Seokjin his tone most of the time stay low which shouldn't be. BTS tease sometimes Seokjin using banmal cause they know Seokjin doesn't like it. And you will See Seokjin 's annoying laugh too at that. But Seokjin let it slide with Taehyung. It's not about more than platonic. Taehyung must be very special to him ☺

사랑해 (saranghae) - I love you (informal) 사랑한다 (saranghanda) - I love you (informal) 사랑해요 (saranghaeyo) - I love you (formal) No difference at all between saranghae and saranghanda . All mean I love you in informal. However, to express fellowship or love to others, use Saranghae. It's more close ^ ^

No no Taehyung is quite formal with his hyungs. And he had never dared to use banmal on Yoongi.😅 Apart from Seokjin he has called Hobi informally sometime. Even in recent season greetings while writing down his notes for Hobi he used informal language. Other than that he had never talked down with any of his hyungs except Seokjin which shows they are the most closest off camera

I agree it was impolite in their culture to call their hyung that.😭 But it's a term that is used between couples too like " I said I love you idiot." "Don't be such an idiot, look at me." It's a term of cuteness too.😭 Taehyung slipped there, if it meant to be the impolite meaning then Seokjin had scolded him just like he scolded him for talking with him with "Ya" but he didn't cause he liked that his baby bear called him that.😭

We sometimes tease our friends babo~ means naive as a baby(so you may need me) We normally don’t use this word to very old people but we can use quite close hyung as long as they allow. I guess they try to use formal style cuz young people watching them so wanna be their role model. Thanks

No one agrees to anything lmao 😭😭 it's the thing that only the older can give the permission to the younger, eventually the younger has to use formal tone always. Taehyung uses formal tone with hyung like 80% where other members just 95%, that's the difference.

It's a way of talking we do with someone younger than us or close to. But you shouldn't use it on elders.

I think we are living in the 21st century and all this "honorific" way to speak is a little ridiculous, but I understand is there culture. I have friends all ages, older than me and speak to them freely like any other friends same age as me or younger, age is not really important is the chemistry between people. South Korea also has a lot of other topics that are not accepted by the Korean "culture" like being a single mother, gay marriage, and women equality. They are very behind on those very important topics. A foreign female youtuber was told she can't say her favorite color is black, they made her said is blue, she was so shocked about the situation, she made another video explaining about her experience and she ended in tears. If I ever go I will be myself with a lot of confidence as a young woman.

Even in America there is some speech you would never use on authority figures (like not many people call their parent bee-atch) that you'd use with your close friends. We just don't attach honorifics so we don't notice... But it's built in to english also.
