@@missnani9075 if you actually watch the video I made you'll see in 2015 Tae says "Jk on Top" which is a reference to the phrase "Maknae on Top". Jk also says "if you say it like that it has a Maknae on Top feeling" when they asked him who it was easier to bully, in 2015. The phrase doesn't belong to anyone and I just used it for a video.

Well, I think we don’t have actual evidence of JK speaking informally to Tae on a daily basis, just instances of him dropping honorifics on punctual occasions (mostly when joking) and also speaking in a mix of formal and semi-formal (I’ve been reading and saying “hyung” is only one aspect of formal speech...plus, even when you speak informally you normally still use the term “hyung”). Apparently, Koreans are surprised that BTS still use formal speech with each other after so many years of living together - it not being that common - and they think it’s admirable. On the other hand, others suspect they choose to still use formal speech on camera because some Koreans could have an issue with members not respecting their elders and it’s safer to take that approach. Possibly marketing, but who knows. I could believe BTS truly interact like that and it helped them keep a peaceful atmosphere. What I find suspicious is how easily Jk drops the “hyung” title with Tae when he’s mad and has a spontaneous reaction with low self-awareness, like when Tae blew the candles and he said “Tae!” - which btw is an informal nickname. It just came out way too naturally...and regardless of them actually preserving formal speech or not (I’ve read some married couples still preserve it) the way they interact is far from formal. Jk crossed all possible barriers - constantly challenging Tae’s age - and it’s quite ridiculous they now come up with this story of “the age gap having a toll on them”. He even takes care of him as if his elder more often than not, even to this day. Anyways, we know what’s going on because it falls line with the other tactics BH has been pulling. I guess we’ll just have to take their words with a grain of salt and enjoy the precious moments we do get to see.

@@Taeggukstime yes, it bugged me too but like you said, take it with grain of salt because accept it or not we get to see so many taekook moments after the supposed talk in ITS but it’s actually sad because I spoke to few old army who are fans since debut and they all said the same thing Jk lied and I really didn’t want him to come across as a liar, everyone in BTS lies because duh they are before camera but this particular part of their convo contradicts with their past actions and you can totally see how much ingenious the entire convo was, to me “none” of it & I m only saying this based on Taekook’s personality, both are extreme private and secondly they never really talk about their relationship with each other on camera unless it’s work related.

Jungkook and tae knew each other from their trainee days. So i guess he used honorofics during that time and became closer at their debut days

I found it interesting that Joonie referred to JK as 'maknae that’s like a hyung' (6:15) and I’ve seen a lot of folks in other groups say that JK seems like the eldest

I think, despite being pretty mischievous himself, Jungkook can also be quite serious and focused and I get the impression that he can sometimes get in a bit of a mood where he doesn’t really wanna play.. whereas Tae can be a lot and not really know when to stop sometimes lol. So in that sense I think it kind of seems like Jungkook is the hyung because he has to reign Tae in a fair bit. Jungkook is also pretty competitive and I’ve noticed he gets a bit frustrated with Tae sometimes during games and challenges because Tae doesn’t really care that much about winning and will not take it as seriously as he does. These two have so much sibling energy, it’s cute

@@WikkidPiggy666 Taehyung does care about winning, though. He just gets in a mood about it when he's losing, so he gives up early instead of pushing harder. Either that or he gives up before it even starts. But when he actually has the potential to win, he's as competitive as Jungkook.

It surely feels strange. A mix of happiness and nostalgia 🤧 Times passes way too fast without realizing it, but looking back they’ve gone through so much already. Though they matured and grew, hope their glow is protected and we can continue giving comfort to each other for years to come.

I just don't see how that's possible when we look back at their behaviour. They are making things much more suspicious for the ones that actually contrast info and pay attention, but I know there's plenty that don't really care to question them. Questioning this convo would automatically mean they have something to hide, and we know how that's seen as a crazy idea.

Taekook were very close from beginning, to the point that Tae said he promised Jk that they would enlist together and it wasn’t about the current them drifting apart but Jk saying when they were younger he was formal with him, which made me cry!

It was the fact that they themselves made those statements that hurt me a lot...but I understand they are in a difficult position and their relationship is private after all. If it's for their safety and well-being, as well as for the group's interest, I completely understand.

I think nowadays they don’t really play fight with the same intensity. They definitely started as just friends, so they acted as such x) The thing is that you could see they interacted as if they were around the same age, and that went on for many years. The story they now try to sell doesn’t make much sense...
