@@RUNIX_XL Nice you have a real taekondo class then bc my master said that if you are under 15 years old you are a junior black belt (red stripe under and black stripe above)

I’m 2 Dan in Karate, we do underground training and we learned every kind of martial arts. In karate, not only u’ll learn punch and kicking but also balance and speed. The best part in karate is ur perseverance and improve ur mental focus. I remember blind folding while someone attacking u with arnis stick. The balancing, kicking the target while standing on the cans( from big to small cans) and also doing doing karate dance on the drills. Punching the Makiwara until it destroyed, every single one of had our own makiwara. Also we learnt Judo, Boxing, Mau Thai and more… The ritual before you received your Black belt. The unforgettable one, from morning to dawn, it was like ur fighting for ur life, for ur friends and for ur BELT. The combination of all the trainings u learnt from the past 1 year. I broke my friend legs while dueling him and knockout my other friend because im blindfolded. No one is allowed to leave the premises that’s we have medics too. But after all, we finished the ritual and received our first BLACK BELT.. best experienced in my life.
Did Taekwondo for about 4 years getting to a black belt, while the martial art itself is focused on discipline while Karate is more fighting-focused, both can be used in fights. Like someone said, focus on the power of Karate and it can be strong. Hell, that was my thing
Yeah i don’t get the whole taekwondo being combo based it’s literally all out fighting with your legs we do both what the karate guy was doing and what the taekwondo one was also showing,
Facts, as a Taekwondo Veteran of 11-Years I can confirm that we also had Power and Precision educated. Though yes there is more Drills involved, this is why we have combination kick and no contact sparring, there are more combos involved then power and precision. (We definitely take the W on Karate bro!)
@@delta2314 true tkd power kicks are so insane for how simple they're to execute I started mixing them kickboxing and karate kicks into my wing chun and it's made a world of difference since now I'm not stuck to linear kicks.

Karate looks more practical and Taekwondo looks fancier. Either of them aren't very known for practicality so my choice would be taekwondo in terms of aesthetic.
TKD speed and rotations in there kick is where all the power is. I’ve done both, kárates effectiveness comes from more of Closer combat capabilities. Of course this is my experience others may differ
@@DarkiXDEOfficial Rotation generates momentum which in turn yields more force so generally in most case a spin kick will have more power but there are exceptions.
taekwondo would be the best to learn it would increase your reaction time also it would allow you to throw on a spur of attacks that wouldn't allow the opponent to respond and eventually you would knock them out it would also increase your stamina
@@ZTshortz220 Taekwondo is cool but mess with sombody that learns karate you'll get beaten up even if u have katana's they also teach how to disarm weapons in karate
As a red belt in Taekwondo I’d rather be in taekwondo more than karate because I used to do karate all we just did is play games and forms a couple of kicks that are weak! 😅
I was taekwondo black belt and we frequently trained together with the closest karate team....believe me there was no one single way to beat one of us from their side....nooo way
Me: I take taekwondo classes. However, my grandmaster tells us to add power to it, so basically combining karate and taekwondo however, if you combined taekwondo and karate like that, you have created the most powerful thing in the universe and not including other martial arts.
Just Imagine a.Savate fighter with track shoes 💀. And an muay thai fighter with metal shin guards 💀. A boxer with brass knuckles 💀. Any style can be good in the streets but never forget an weapon, and you also need to see RED
@@just-some-guy-without-a-mo9702 I mean it really depends on the person since taekwando is more on the range and accuracy while muay thai is on the hard hitting side.
In general a combined style of Power plus variety is desirable, Karate does give you the extra power plus more endurance upon impact, but the flexibility of Tae Kwon Do kicking at higher speed for multiple impacts also grants you a higher chance of disrupting the opponents own tempo. I personally prefer more power hits whenenever possible if you can early on in a fight, properly land a couple of those and the fight can end up being a lot quicker to cleanup, but if unable switching to multi impact can put you level if the fight is dragging on
Why are you guys (comments) comparing them? Both are awesome martial arts with their own unique strengths. I do karate, but I’m excited to one day learn Taekwondo. They are both great ❤
Trained in Taekwondo since I was 10, and a good kick combo is no joke. I've always been on the smaller side, but with Taekwondo techniques, turned out I could do some serious damage. You don't need to be super strong- if you can learn to use your own momentum and your opponent's to your advantage, and have speed and accuracy, you can pack a nasty punch.
As a karate learner I see that he implemented every kick with perfection (kinda) May be or not? Edit:- Omg 136 likes, thats the most i got Edit 2 :- 575 likes??!
For everybody saying Taekwondo is fast but it has bad damage My brother hit me with a back kick and 4 hours went by and i still feel the pain in my stomach 😶
karate was made by Japan and was actually a copy of TaeKwanDo. During the 2nd world war Japan was with Germany and they were torturing Koreans. Then they made the Koreans forgot about their culture. Japan also took the ideas of many things from Korea (sushi came after kimbap Taekwando came after Karate the way the build house etc.) Ngl I'm kinda happy Japan got nuked because they deserved it
Taekwondo has been one of the most beneficial things in my life for the entire 7 years I have been doing it for. Not only has it made me jacked af, but it has given me ultra instinct-like reflexes and insane fighting skill. Everybody has their preferences, but I would highly recommend Taekwondo over Karate.
me capoeira gave me the same things but on a lower level for now cuz I haven't been doing it for as long. most powerfull kicks in the world come from capoeira, a master of capoeira will not let you hit them easily cuz It's a fight desguised in a dance with music on a pretty fast rhythm some times.
I'm right with you, man. 10 years strong, nothing I would rather spend the rest of my life doing. It's not just a sport, or a job. It's a lifestyle. Keep living it, my guy!
I did both for 14 years and honestly I always go back to karate than taekwondo. I found it better in self defence especially if I needed to grapple or keep the space.
My dad learned taekwondo, and he told me that I should learn this and karate. Both are extremely important in self defense. I stopped years ago, but my teenage brother, who is still learning, made me realize what a monster i could have become if I'd kept going.
@@chaska8144 have you actually ever seen any taekwondo? As someone who is doing taekwondo I can tell you it is very effective if you are in a street fight because they teach you different scenarios and how to win them.
See, they need a possible scenario. For instance, Taekwondo is effective at high speed attacks, meaning if you are skilled enough, you may be able to take multiple opponents. Karate, however, is most effective at single target, due to its powerful attacks.
Speed is always the game in a fight and TKD isn't unique in that regard. Fighting multiple attackers is more or less impossible without weapons or equal numbers.
Well, to be fair, the school of karate I went to did have a small focus on multiple opponents. And that small focus was getting acclimated to taking hits through full contact sparring and such. Got to the point where the only thing that actually hurt in the end was bone on bone contact
it's because it's mainly with the legs, but karate has a lot of punches with it. it's an art of life. Can't say it's better without seeing the karate principal. ( Sorry for my bad English haha )
