It’s all depends on the person if they use they skills they learn they will defend they self it’s not they are screwed. I know because I seen it in a family member of mine.
It's truly dependent on where you learn honestly my taekwondo instructor taught that keeping distance is the best possible method to make it work let them make the first move because it's more of an offensive/defensive style and should you have to make first move make it count learn body movements as it could give you the opening shot you need. He also told my class that not all arts are the same and it's best to learn a few styles from different martial arts to work with the offensive style of taekwondo. I studied a southern mantis style Kong fu for many years by no means am I great but it does teach a sharp block for light punches and heavy kicks and to not give the opponent room to move should have to push up.
Really depends who's fighting:/ none is better then the other karate is focused on strength and has better balance tkd is focused on speed and fast combinations
Double k.o karate and taekwondo are evenly matched I think both styles are unique in their own rights in martial arts but that's what you do you got to hit them hard or it hurts as long as you're the one that's getting hurt but you know what they say no pain no game 🥋💪😉👍🥋
@@blazingdragon9607 I guess that’s a possibility, but the fact that this video showed both weaknesses of both martial arts and the karate dude weakness was his face. Pretty sure the video referred to kyokushin
Taekwondo is so underrated it’s a great martial art and it’s not mainly kicking there is a wide variety of technique, it was made for the Korean military so it’s not weak.
uhhh, depends on WHICH taekwondo branch you are using. WT or olympic relies more on kicks but the ITF one or traditional is more similar to karate since is based on it, and is more called a martial art than the other one. by the way, very funny video, lol
It’s hard to compare because they’re both a little different taekwondo is mainly kicks and fancy cool kicks but karate is an even number of hands and feet and is more power focused
A kick to the face like that would hurt, but I prefer to avoid that punch. With just enough power, you might still feel it for days. I know cause I have felt that, Fortunately there is no side effect
