Taemin oppa is someone I look up to the most. Not just as an artist but also as a person. There’s something about him that draws your attention. He is competitive, hardworking yet contented and calm. He has always had this winner attitude. He is full of confidence, when he is up on the stage he looks like that’s where he belongs. I love how he never lets negativity around him get him and turns everything into an opportunity. He is such an inspiration to me. I always aspire to be like him. I waited for him patiently although I missed him like crazy. I told myself by the time taemin oppa comes back I should be a better version of myself and worked on it.
He seems so relaxed and calm- him saying that he feels like he is now able to be laid-back was so sweet and is a massive accomplishment. I'm so proud of him and the man he's become.
As a person who became taemint and shawol a few months after Taemin's enlistment, it's insane what a strong connection I feel with this man and the rest of the members! Taemin's music has comforted and inspired me and helped me develop and I'm so thankful to him for that I am happy to see him back, healthy and relaxed like this! I can relate. Although I got into SHINee and particularly Taemin on the very eve he left his last live before he left for the military. He was playing with his cat and talking to his fans...and I don't know if anyone else could hear the nervousness in his voice but I did and it reached that "mom" side of me that feels protective over someone else. He was worried his fans would leave him while he was gone to the military. All the comments left on his LIVE were very beautiful though. Promising him that they would be there for him after he came back. I was willing to wait for him too. In the beginning when reports were coming out that he was having a hard time, well that protective mom in me wanted to make sure he was going to be okay. Then they reported that although he'd be going awhile longer they placed him in a division where he could thrive more. After that I paid more attention to all the content out there in youtube. His videos, interviews, live performances, even the drama's he acted in. Over time I became a fan. As the days passed and each day brought us closer to his discharge date I felt excitement build like a child waiting for Christmas day. I wanted to see and hear from him how he was doing in his words. Not some report given by someone else. I was able to catch his first LIVE back and I felt relieved that he was back. He looked healthy. He even sounded good, the nervousness is much less but now directed at his connection with his fans. I believe that over time hearing so much from his fans that he can start to feel comfortable again. So I hope that others treat him well. Extend their well wishes, and be there on his journey as he follows his dream. It sounds like he is working hard to get back to doing what he loves so much. :)

I'm glad that shinee and taemin fandom is such a nice community and of course we were all more than willing to wait for him patiently. After all taemin has continuously showed the deep connection he feels with his fans through some of his songs too, like pansy or think of you and I love that I'm glad we're all him for him now that he's back, let's support him and shinee and shower them with love!💙

I love the fact that he has managed to live as normal a life as possible - playing with his cats, being able to play his baby grand piano a lot more than he previously could, working out....and I won't be surprised if he went for vocal lessons and dance practices too.
