Maybe in recorded video like this you can clearly tell who Taeyeon is. But how if you are one of the audiences? The singer #2 is the most similar, especially if you are going to listen to her covered songs of Taeyeon.
+qwertyu Personally i feel that was a really bad choice of song. There were so many taeyeon's song to choose from but they used gee instead. Taeyeon didn't even sang her part for gee in that round so its really difficult for the audience whom mostly are non-sone to figure out the real taeyeon.
+wakui00 It is unique ofcourse you can tell by the way emotions were felt if you are a SONE you could definitely tell who Taeyeon is. Especially because her voice is rich and her emotions cuts through. Critics won't praise her if she was that easy to imitate as you say +javieracg1
Are ya'll serious? Oh my god We can definitely tell Taeyeon's in number 1 just by her unique voice and her style of singing. Number 2 sang it in her voice too much and Number 3's voice was too high pitched to be Taeyeon's voice. Taeyeon's episode of Hidden Singer was too obvious. But the singers were very amazing! They sang so well! :D
mawi nuam Okay. First of all, whatever you're trying to write has errors. Secondly, you don't have to label the 2nd singer as "fat". It has a negative connotation to it, but I do have to agree they all have amazing voices. Beautiful and unique in their own ways, although similar.
Taeyeon's voice is really special, its powerful and alittle lower and also slightly husky but yet tight(?), when she hits higher notes, theres the 'taeyeon ness' which makes its also soothing at the same time.
It was really weird how the audience kept mistaking contestant #2 as Taeyeon throughout the program... Taeyeon's voice isn't that deep. None of the contestants even sounded like Taeyeon...
I strongly agree with you. It was so easy to tell the real taeyeon from the others. but it pissed me of how they kept on mistaking. and be like O_o LIKE.......... SERIOUSLY.
VL (YBlvr) #2 probably sounds more like TaeYeon than you think (though TaeYeon has more natural vibrato and susurration). At the beginning, I thought #2 had a problem with her microphone but when they came out it was obvious that she was holding it too close to her mouth. #3's voice was just too high (had to force the lower notes) and thin, with very little vibrato.
If you know Taeyeon, you would've guessed her right away. Taeyeon's voice is clear that you don't hear the extra hidden pitchy vibrato like in the other two voices, listen carefully to all the voices carefully. Taeyeon's voice is clear that you don't feel like your spine can hear it and while the other two your spines can hear and feel that little sound while they're singing. But if you didn't notice that a true SONE would know her voice right away.
The Director and I share the same bias. Wendy has the best facial expressions in all of K-Pop. She is only showing one here 0:31 1:00 2:58 3:35 3:48 4:12. I guarantee Irene never had a doubt about Taeyeon (Red Velvet’s Mom) voice.
I still wonder how the audience thought 1 isn't Taeyeon, it was really obvious. Yuri was right when she said number 3 sounds like Tae but when the high note came, you can really hear the breathing of the singer which is definitely not Taeyeon
When I heard the singer in 1 singing, I thought, "Woah, she sounds like Taeyeon". When I heard the number 2, I said, "Nah, that's not her", and the number 3 sounds a little bit like Taeyeon for me, but not as much as number 1. So I guessed Taeyeon was in number 1. Then when the singer in number 1 is singing again, I'm pretty sure it's Taeyeon even though it sounds that she tried to change her voice at the end.
Taeyeon's vocals is something that cannot be mistaken by others its really unique and powerful but soothing at the same time. When you blend it to others even with the same genre you can defenitely tell which one is hers
These two girls' voices are really well. But they're not familiar to Taeyeon's voice. It's easy to guest who is Taeyeon. I don't know why did people get wrong a lot

first time i heard it i already can tell no.1 was taeyeon.. how the audience couldn't tell :( and they were kinda surprised it was taeyeon like they didn't expect it was her lol...
no.2 and no.3 both has very beautiful voice and good singing techniques, but they don't sound like taeyeon to me because they don't really put emotions into the song. I can always recognise and fall in love with taeyeon's voice again and again because she sings with emotion that touch my heart.
I kind of fell in love with No.3 Kang Sira at first sight. At first I thought she was from another group because of how well she performed (like an actual pro) but at the time I couldn't find her anywhere. But now that I look again, she's under a company named Chungchun Music and is participating in Produce 101. I hope she makes it, she is good enough to be my bias just after watching her on Hidden Singer :P
I hope Sira gets more votes in Produce 101, fortunately she survived the first elimination. I don't think Chungchun music has promoted her much yet, so it's great to see her perform again ^^
If you watched the full episode, Sera was actually in the same batch of rookies that applied for SM idol recruiting process. She actually met Tayeon and another member of SNSD while she was there when everyone was nobodies (she did not make the cut though).
Wait what? She got an incredible voice. Her looks is cute. Her body might be a little bit big. But what. Her talent is wonderful and she looks amazing too :|
i mean its obviously the first one, even when they sang together, taeyeon's voice stood out the most. of course, both of them sing so well, its rly beautiful colaboration.
glad I guessed it right! can easy recognize. proud to be taeyeon's bias and to be honest her voice has change my mind towards kpop music. there's a truly powerful singer among of them and taeyeon is one of them. huhu. and yeah numb 3 sounded like seohyun ^^
I found this round the easiest of them all. Like come on as soon as she sang i was like thats her and then hearing the others that sound nothing like her it was too obvious!
For me, number 2 has the voice most similar to Taeyeon but the thing is she's voice got tired because of the high notes she have done during the third round where the mission song was "Twinkle". If you are going to listen to other cover songs of her, she sounds very similar to Taeyeon, maybe 95%. But, if I am one of the authorized staff in that show, Hidden Singer, I will give chance to the other contestants to sing the other mission songs so that they can show what they got and we can also see what are their similarities and differences to Taeyeon's voice.
