Thanks for the review. I've had this watch now for several months and it has become a favorite. The orange color, as you note, is really beautiful and the watch is both fun and very easy to read. Fantastic watch from TAG Heuer.
Great informative video!! I used to have an original F1 back in 1992 in the Blue colourway Just a quick one pal is the nylon strap water resistant, does this particular watch have a screw down crown and finally what's the model number for the green version of this particular watchplease? I can't find it anywhere? Take care and stay safe!
Thank you Alun, I don't think these straps would be too long, but before purchase, I would definitely try one on, or order and make sure you have a return period so you can see the fit. Its a good size.
You mentioned they have always been quartz while showing photos of the Chronograph Calibre 16 watches which are automatic chronograph movements. They have had automatic 3 hand and automatic chronographs since the 2012 Series 5 Formula 1. My OCD was going crazy that you had the bezel off center. Even after spinning it around you still kept it a click or two right of center. I have a 1990 Formula 1 375.513 steel case with black and green dial and bezel, a WAC1111 white dial Formula 1, and a two tone black dial Forumula 1 WAZ1121.
Thank you for watching, I really appreciate the feedback Long. I have always known of F1's to have quartz, and the correction helps. Tag has done a really good job making this line more upscale with a lot of versions. My OCD goes crazy with the bezel off center on my wrist, I hear ya.
@@DougFNJ no worries. Another friend of mine just got one in for review. He measured it - its 21.5mm. An odd size for sure, but also matches my 43mm Aquaracer.
That looks like it just wants to be filmed, never seen such a vivid watch look so good under bright lighting, that AR looks take the crystal away it looks that good. I see many watches I like in this one, and happily nothing from SEIKO for once, but something from LUMINOX and OMEGA... Am not really into such bright dials, but this is done right, and that strap is something that really does compliment it, plus it's originally styled :) Think you could have some great strap combos with this feller, even a gold bracelet would look good LML :-P I've no idea why a few aren't into TAG's, to me they've always been a good brand, and RONDA movements have never failed me... VICTORINOX use them, and their watches are tough like G-Shocks! I've not commented much on your channel, but know I have been watching and always give a thumbs for support, even before watching as I know you never disappoint. Just checking in to mention I'm still following, as I've heard some subscribers have been unsubscribed for unknown reasons??? Cheers and this is the first I've seen of this model :))
Thank you very much Mr Rangeman, you always hold legendary status to me, the best produced, well thought out, detailed and fun reviews on RU-vid! 😬👍. You know I always appreciate the support. Have you looked into the Doxa's too? Some of the best orange used, and classic Diver Watch designs. Tag has always been a funny brand. They do so many things right, but the focus always gos on the failures. They've been making a nice comeback with these re-issues they have designed with the modern touches lately. Always great to hear from you. Have to ask about the subscribers being unsubscribed? They are unsubscribing, or RU-vid is doing this?
@@DougFNJ So welcome my friend... have been watching your videos, don't always comment, but know I am liking even before the video starts, as I know it'll be good :) I've seen a few from DOXA, and they look nice... but do have a price on their lugs hey :-P Heuer are the ones collectors are wanting the most, the sport related version I'm not so much into, they seem too close to the TISSOT range... but this one you've reviewed is really nice... just a nice balance of design and haven't gone down that crazy path, trying to add as much as possible! As for subs, I did have a drop of about 60% on views and subs compared to previous months history, but has turned around slightly, but think this is all about algorithm, and I sometimes can't always post weekly, so am just making quality over just bashing a video for the sake of it, feel that would ruin the passion and enjoyment, and turn it into work... I like it's a hobby, and chatting to viewers is nice, especially when I can help with their questions :) Use your community page, as this keep viewers interested in the channel, I've been posting a few subscribers watches, just to give them something to look back on, also I enjoy doing this side, it's really important to appreciate their input and share it... I don't have Instagram anymore, got hacked and my account removed, so just have RU-vid... much easier to keep up too :) Take care and looking forward to your next, which will be some of your older videos in my case :))
Some of the new formula 1 watches are great value and also automatic, I think some of them are lovely 😊. New aqua racer coming out in June looking forward to seeing that
F1 is a great entry level watch into Tag. The quality has improved dramatically with every version. Which version of the Aquaracer are you talking about? I always get interested in their new designs.
That made me laugh, thanks Jim. I will give Tag credit for releasing better quality versions of what they put out years ago. Now if they would only try to make their movements antimagnetic
