Taghazout, Morocco, is a world famous surfing destination just outside of Agadir. Due to state of emergency Covid measures many restaurants are shut, or only available for take away food.
Taghazout is a great place to learn to surf, with Panorama beach located just a short walk from the village. We walk on the promenade of Taghazout Bay, toward Sol House, an upscale resort in Morocco.
We watched the waves gently hit the shore at high tide, and ventured through the corridors of this sleepy village to see what it's current life status is. We were happy to find some tourists! We met some friendly and open Americans who teach English in Tangier, enjoying themselves in the Souss Massa region during their winter holidays.
We enjoy milkshakes at Surf It in Taghazout and enjoy a second drink at the Aloha cafe in Taghazout.
We also stop for a kefta sandwich snack on our way out of Taghazout back to Tamraght!
Now is a great time to experience beautiful Taghazout with minimal crowds if you are brave enough to travel at this time.
