That was called the Caldor Fire. It rapidly grew due to most resources fighting the Dixie fire to the north. The edge of Desolation is right as you get to the upper shores of Echo Lake as you come down from Aloha, there is a sign that is easy to miss on the way down. Hopefully the new name doesn't mean you can only turn left, quickly! lol
Ah, yes that’s it. I thought it was something like that. I didn’t know about the resource issue thing though, it’s so sad! lol!!!!!!! I guess it’s good I was going in a circle. ;-)
:-) I didn’t really cone up with the name. Someone gave it to me on day 1. I just already had a trail name and was trying to decided which one I ultimately related to most.
