Thank you. I've been trying to play Tai chi for about 5 years. I've a huge build up of energy in the Kua that needs to move. This video is so helpful. i guess we find out what we need to know when we need to know it. Blessings 🙏☯️

Thumbs up Robert McCabe. Spot on comment. Only recently discovered Susans channel. At 70 I have been a Dr Paul Lam's registered Tai Chi for Health teacher. Mainly beginners and some intermediate Sun and Yang forms. My teaching is on a volunteering basis for community classes for older individuals. By sharing your profound knowledge of the art of Tai Chi susan, you are without doubt enhancing our understanding, health, safety, practice, and teaching. Deeply greatful. P.S .....I have never made a RU-vid comment in my life till now...😅

The sit bones will feel heavy if you hang your shoulders off your head…The head is suspended from above…Song is only possible by releasing the shoulders and more advanced by hanging your shoulders from your head….The shoulders are the central point of contraction…They need to be released …Other wise the sit bones are a reminder of how to sit on a piano stool…but first the shoulders……Letting go of the qua is about becoming SingleWeighted …the key to all movement …Taichi is impossible without this principal …thankyou for you amazing insight✅

I like that idea! Thanks for sharing.

Hanging the shoulders off the head is an advanced concept …This activates the Taichi yin yang engine where all movement has its origins…the pressure builds in the foot to develop elastic contraction which spirals as a wave up into the waist to the dantien ….once released this pressure continues as a feeling of warmth and fullness into the chest shoulders and arms but …..only if you have Song……….This is the Huang Sheng Shyan system …difficult to learn with infinite detail and subtlety…A Way of Life…Daoist Taiji Chuan….

Hi Susan, another fantastic video, thank you very much! Is the Kua, the region where the Fajin energy is generated? In other words, is a Fajin punch triggered by the Kua?
@InternalTaiChi
@InternalTaiChi Месяц назад
Fajin starts in the feet. It comes from the kua but also the ming men (low back). The Kua and Ming Men connect to form a powerful structure of an arch and triangle. Think of a hammer, you hold the base of the hammer at the bottom of the handle you get more power. If you hold it up toward the top of a hammer head, you get less power. So the lower in your body you can initiate the movement, the more power. The kua/ming men, is the handle. Hope this helps!

Thank you. It is very hard to teach these internal experiences and principles. Thanks for being aware of that.
