Tail wheel Training Endorsement: Flying Lesson # 2 | Citabria | Camden (YSCN)
Well, I'm back up at Camden airport (YSCN) in the south-west of Sydney for another tailwheel lesson in the mighty Citabria. Today, we have a 10kt crosswind, so I'm really curious how the tailwheel Citabria handles in these conditions.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a student pilot learning to fly in my spare time. I originally received 30 hours of flying instruction 17 years ago and now I'm back in the cockpit and learning how to fly all over again.
Currently flying out of Wollongong (YWOL) in light sport aircraft such as the Jabiru and Pipestrel alpha with Fly Illawarra, and also at Camden (YSCN) with Curtis aviation in the Citabria.

Nice. I've actually just started learning to fly at Camden too and have been flying in RRW as well.

Looks like fun! Can't wait for my tailwheel endorsement, it surely makes you a much better pilot.

So did you get your Endorsement those 5 years ago? 😊

Nice one mate, difficult little bird to fly compounded by the PXW flying 747 circuits, crosswind and a busy little circuit!

What was the date for this flight mate?

"DON'T TALK FOR THE SAKE OF TALKING" Ok obviously you should have made your intentions clear to ATC, but these things happen especially flying an unfamiliar plane and airport . A reaction like that would probably be enough to put some students off for the rest of the lesson. Instructors must obviously correct your mistakes but he could have been a bit nicer about it.

YOU GAVE ME A HEADACHE WITH CAMERA ON YOU. TOO FAST! SO IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO “SEE” AND IDENTIFIED WHAT U WERE DOING MAN. SO I HAD TO BE GUESSING AIRSPEEDS, STICK, AILERONS, ETC…THANK GOD THE INSTRUCTOR WAS TALKING. I LIKED THE 1st BETTER.

Sir, you should avoid wearing a head camera to make this videos, it makes people dizzy. You move your head too much and all over the place.

Curtis Aviation should, as a duty of care, check what kind of videos their students are hanging on the Internet, not just let anything be place on RU-vid. Perhaps you are trying to make money from your videos, but you are putting people off and giving the school a bad reputation for not checking and taking responsibility on what happens inside the cockpit and outside of it.
