Totally agree. Some of my favourite fights have JRod in them. One is the one against Mica Galvao and this is now for sure one of my favorurite. Great match.

Even when loosing he always give us great matches, like the one against Mica with those insane armbar scapes. Dalpra also showed amazing jiu jitsu skills but Jay is so difficult to submit. Great to see matches like this one!

To be fair he’s a purple belt going against world class black belts that have been winning worlds longer than JRod has been doing Jiu jitsu

tainans jiu jitsu is still leagues ahead of jrod, thats what makes the difference. And Gi translates to no gi was better than the reverse

Jay Rod will run circles around a lot of black belts, no shame in having trouble to deal with him.

These guys are grapplers. Jay may not have the best jiu jitsu but he is a good wrestler and if this is going to be the way of measuring Mica Galvao should also be ashamed about not finishing Jay... but we all know how great is Mica as a grappler, one of the best in the world on his weight cathegory. Jay Rod is very difficult to submit. Also you have to consider Tainan started recently at nogi so he has not much experience.
