I engaged mama Taiwo Lijadu of the Lijadu Sisters fame. She responded to all the questions I put to her while reminiscing on old times. She equally laid a lot of rumors to rest, describing them as evil.
Dele, thanks for doing this interview. I felt exactly the same way you expressed whenever I listen to the song "Iya mi jowo". Up to this day, I am always moved to tears listening to this song. Powerful, emotional, raw and downright sincere! So nice to hear the story behind it. Great respect to the pioneers of our Nigerian traditional music Mama Taiwo and Kehinde (RIP) Lijadu. Great folklorists! These are the people who ploughed the jungle of opportunities for our modern day musicians. They did it with sweat, blood and unmatched dignity. Thank you!

At 1.01.30,she reigned a curse on rumour mongers,if somebody does not know something is it not better to keep quiet rather than start saying rubbish about somebody and this is very typical of some Nigerians.May God help that country.
I was very opportune to meet the two sisters when they moved to Hancock Street in Brooklyn New York,I visit them every evening. They are highly spiritual. And a very good cook. They are the ones who taught me about herbal cooking. Ginger with stew. I really miss them, great sisters.
Seriously Mr presenter are u asking that woman why they were so little in stature in Africa Nigeria..are u serious are u born in Europe or American it's normal things in Africa to see kids been small in stature...
There are billions of Muslims all over the world and possibly a few non-Muslims that have the Glorious Qur'an memorised. There are also few Muslim Religious Comparers who knew and knows the Bible (off hand). Late Ahmad Deedat didn't have to open either of the Books in any of his religious debates while alive.
What then happened after Mama used God of iron to swear and she lied that the offender did not know how he offended when in actual fact he knew what he did? I am just curious.
Maybe you need to listen back to that part very well to know precisely what question i posed to her. I can't remember asking why anyone's stature is small. You can also do well to point out that part to me so I can listen back and correct myself in future. Thank you so much sir.
