We head into the mountainous Hida region in time for the Autumn Festival in Takayama. The float procession dates back hundreds of years and is ranked one of Japan's most beautiful and sacred festivals. We also headed into Japan's "Alps" to Kamikochi.

I visited Takayama the first time I was in Japan . It really is a beautiful town . Those dashi are incredible .

Oh my God, what an incredible trip. Love the breakfast at the mountain lodge. And the Alps, like in Switzerland. Incredible place top at the mountain. The food at the french restaurant looks amazing!
