I was fortunate to receive a pre-production cassette of this album. It played in my car for a long time. Later I went and bought the CD. ;) At the time, I was a huge fan of the GLAD's Acapella project albums, and Take 6 really just fit right in!
The original was mind-blowingly beautiful - and here you have not rested on your laurels but taken it to another level again with gorgeous modulations and pitch-perfect singing : God bless you all, love your music.
I can't understand why There is a racism in this world. I Love this guys . So beautiful voices, beautiful people, wonderful People, so Kind. They are perfect.
yall need to tour again virtually Take 6 decades later still sound so so good i first saw them back when i was a teenager in the mid 80s now i am all grown up at 52 Next Month
I saw you on TV then went out the next morning about bought Take6. I ran out to my car and put the cassette in so I could hear Spread Love again. Then, this track started. I almost immediately had to pull my car to the side of the road unable to drive through the tears. I sat there on the curb bawling like a baby. I'm not sure what the life expectancy of a cassette tape is supposed to be but I played that one thousands of times. Thanks for all you've done for me!!
@@robanderson4137 they did in the late 1980s This one right here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tfHohRpcjo0.html I saw this video on VH1 and went out the next day and bought the album (cassette).
time has not diminished the incredible beauty of your blended voices. sounds like it did the first time I heard it back in your early days. Perfection!
What I mean it’s not a lip sync of the original 1988 CD version - it’s a different arrangement in places and definitely at the end. Take 6 are amazing I’ve been listening to them since 1988 👍🏽👍🏽
Can't even begin to imagine how beautiful our voices will be when Jesus comes and changes us in a twinkling of an eye!!! I look forward to that glorious day and event. God bless the members of Take6 and their families to be faithful till that glorious day!!!
One of my absolute all time favorite groups for over 30 years!!!!!! I will adore every song these brothers can harmonize. They are all gifted, treasures from GOD!!!!!! I 💘 them, they continue to sound incredible!!!!!
You will always be my favorite group! And this song...TEARS. 🥲 I found you in high school when my vocal jazz teacher introduced your music to me. At that time I didn't know the Lord. But I got saved a few years later at 19 and your music was the foundation that God used to prepare me and open my eyes to Jesus. 🙋🏼♀️ This song, and all your music for that matter, feels like home. 💕 I'm forever grateful for you and your music and the way it's changed my life. 🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻
I can't believe I'm only just now discovering you guys. The first thing I heard you in was Jacob Collier's All Night Long, but you guys are just magical, like holy crap haha
OMG!!!!! I was looking for that dolo high pitch on the bridge- was singing by myself lol!!! Good stuff; proud to still be a black man, walking with God after hearing this:-)
I will forever and ever be a truly loyal and supportive fan. These guys changed how i listened to music back in 1987 and I will never be the same. Mark, Claude, Alvin, Dave, Mervyn, Joey, Cedric, and Christian, Yall are the MVPs of acapella.
I love these brothers back then when it was originally released AND again 2024!!! Renewed JOY that's unspeakable every time, EVERY TIME I hear them release THE SOUND from GOD❤
The best part about this is......... after all these years they're still TOGETHER doing what they love. You don't see groups anymore. At least Gospels or R&B
Today I listened to this song and it moved me like the word of God. Each time I listen God speaks directly to me! Thanks Take 6 for bringing the word in song! God Bless.
This is Mary Beth Davidson from KDEX RADIO here in Southeast Missouri! This Chicago born and raised gal was first introduced to them while Ministering in Music in Europe-1988, thanks to my friend, Huntley Brown, Mr. Piano, from Brownstown, Jamaica. He told me, "Mary Beth, you HAVE to listen to this group!" Knew I loooove STREET SIDE Acapella music and tight harmonies. Fell in LOVE with them from the VERY 1st NOTE on the 1st track of the Cassette-Gold Mine. My kids grew up knowing their music. Best of all about Take Six...wonderful Christian Musicians who love the Lord!
This beautiful arrangement was featured on their first album way back in 1986. Beautiful. Absolutely sublime harmonies. One question though, who on earth put a thumbs down on this must be absolutely miserable in their life!
Time flies. I remember when Take 6 was a sextet of young guys. It's great that they are still making great music. // It's a wonderful song: we all need a quiet place where we can draw strength and inspiration to give our best to the world.
I was introduced to Take 6 in college in the late 80s. I sang in my college choir and we were just blown away by their harmonies. I saw them in concert before the Pandemic. Still the best a cappella group I've seen.
I was taken to see take six at the royal Albert hall. Six stools six mics six towels and they Harmonised on to the stage in the most powerful experience to date. For me i was in total Awe of what they did. Never seen anything as perfect as them since 1991 or 90?
