I finally bought a propane torch this week and there's a repurposed headboard I'm planning to use it on. Been watching a number of wood-burn demo vids lately, but the first one I saw was one of yours from a couple years ago. Been looking forward to trying it ever since! It's so satisfying to re-work those long, solid stringers, isn't it? I've been finding some surprisingly nice oak pieces with amazing grain figuring. I've almost got enough practice in to start actually making some stuff. I think, anyway. Really appreciate and enjoy your inspiring demonstrations and results!
how would you separate the main wood from the runners on the second side? The first side you are pressing against the second side, but when you flip it over, where do you get your leverage from?
@@diyhard666 sure, I'm using the Makita XGT 40 V, it has a torque of 64 N. I have a review of it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4CGKrM4pZxo.html
Hi, what connector is attached to the drill to do that to the car jack, and what is that device used to send the nails in the opposite direction, i am looking for sppedy & affordable/budget options that wont ruin pallet dismantling. Thanks in advance
Good job Jesper ! Now…… Was this a video tip on how to break down pallets, without breaking pallets, or an ad for Air Locker ? 😆🤣😆 Keep on, Keepin’ on !! And, Thank you
This is great, Jesper! I just tried the jack trick a couple days ago (thought I’d had an original idea, haha!) but it didn’t work very well. We were using the crank handle that comes with the jack and the jack kept twisting around. What’s the bit you’re using in your drill that fits the end of a jack?
Dude… you jus tried the jack trick? Why? When I first saw this video I gotta admit that I was tempted to try the Jack trick but I figured that them pallets were so unused looking that it kinda looks like they either made them Pallets themselves… or maybe tampered with the nail holes making them wider than the nail, so that the jack would not have any trouble pulling nails out of such a strong board.
These videos are always done on euros as they are by far the easiest pallets to take apart. Much more difficult on other pallets you dont need either of those tools for a euro. A lump hammer and a normal hammer is all you need. Hammer the blocks with a lump tap the nails through with a normal hammer
Hey Luis, the first is a car jack that I attach on my drill, the second is a nail puncher called Airlocker AP700. I have a link to it in the description of the video.
Dear Mr. Jesper. 👍👌👏 I really love your channel and your great recycling/upcycling ideas. But dismantling a new euro pallet is wasting money, not climate neutral at all and shouldn't be done nor shown. As you know, a euro pallet is made to be used as often as possible (until it's worn out or broken beyond reasonable repair). Nevertheless of course: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health in particular. To all of you of course.
Thanks for your thoughts on sustainability and the use of materials. It’s crucial to have these conversations to promote responsible practices. I appreciate your support and understanding!
@@JesperMakes I’m down near the bottom of Australia Jesper, but not as far down as the Tassie Princess, so nearly winter but only just colder than Denmark at the moment!
