@@yaseminlainksknd351 It's a common food myth that's been around for quite some time. As you point out though, it has less to do with the time the food is on the floor and much more how infested with bacteria that patch of floor happens to be.
I think it's something that followed since people were kids. I always smelled my toenails when I was a child and I still do it SOMETIMES. But today I do it to check if it smells "normal" or if something might be wrong. Like fungus or something. :) I always wash my hands after touching my feet tho, that stuff is nasty.
Only reason I smell my toenails from time to time is to check for fungus. My dad used to have bad smelling toes and I used to lotion his feet as a child so I could 5$(it was a chore apparently). It smelled so bad and I complained to my mom one day because I couldn't take it anymore. Turns out she didn't know I was putting lotion on his foot, taking the dead skin off and massaging them. I always thought I was weird since I was the only one doing it. After getting screamed.at by my mom, he went to the doctor to find out he had fungus infection on his big toes. I smell my toes from time to time just to check if they are alright. I stayed away from his feet since then and I have a slight fear of that smell.

K-dramas give me such anxiety since 70 % people will only wash their hands with water and 20 % won't wash their hands at all. I'm always glad to see the remaining 10 % actually washing their hands properly lol. (I don't know why but there are a LOT of bathroom scenes in k-dramas).
Hahahha true but it might also be because they use bar soap that's on a metal rod in the restrooms in Korea (it looks kinda funky but you can search up the pictures) which personally looks weird and ruins the picture for me
As someone living in Korea I have my theory about this. Most public bathrooms never had soap in them before Covid19, although thankfully that's changed bc of the pandemic. Also, most public bathrooms only have cold water to wash your hands with and no paper towels or working dryers. So in the winter when it's super cold most ppl can't stand to wash their hands using ice water. That and Koreans always being in a rush to do everything. That's my thoughts on it.

During the pandemic we could not buy toilet paper for a few months so we had to conserve it like gold and the shower technique was one strategy that works if you have a shower wand...but yes it's gross.
😲 I don't even wear belts in public. I do up my zip and button on my pants with my left hand since right does the wiping. I mean.. what if toilet paper spores brush micro flecks of the wipe onto your hand or sleeve? The germs... I could never go without washing. I do enjoy extracting a good sickness lump of snot though, it's interesting to look at😁. I knew a boy who loud farted in class. Everyone laughed, he was so embarrassed by it that he turned into an ass from that day on.

For some reason, I suddenly remembered my childhood. When I was on summer vacation at my grandparents. My brother and cousin were playing with my grandparents' neighbor's child. They were bickering about whether the thing on the ground was a rock or poop. Then my cousin said that he's sure it's a rock and even dared the kid to bite into it which he did. And it was dog poop. Another incident was when some second cousins were visiting us. One of them was eating crackers when he saw something white on the ground. He dipped his cracker into it and ate it. It was the poop of the geese. 💩🤣
