This 200 square foot sustainably built earthbag structure was built by our family of 6 over the course of a year. We used over 3400 linear feet of hyperadobe tube mesh, moved 80+ tons of dirt, sand, and clay, and installed a 7200 watt, 28kwh lithium solar system to power our property. Techniques explored include hyperadobe earthbag, bottle bricks, cob, earthen floor, earthen plaster, bas relief, passive solar, negative reveal ceiling, archways, and more.

What a source of pride and happiness. I do miss my morning visits with my cup of Joe, but that is insignificant to what you have accomplished. Your kids may think they have an idea, but they have absolutely NO idea of how much all of this will mean to them in years to come. Your shed is outstanding. Great kids from great parents.

Its absolutely amazing! My family is here in AZ living offgrid as well. We're doing things a tad different. We got our 22, 24 old boys a shed kits, each has one. We had a metal barn built to store our stuff. Me, my husband, and 12 yol daughter stay in a 25' camper. So far we've built our outdoor shower/pooper and added an enclosed kitchen to the barn. We'll practice with bags on our greenhouse....then we start 2 bedroom earthbag home!! We should start a club here in AZ. You guys do awesome work!

Looks great and congratulations on the family built build. I particularly love the mistakes and adjustments to resolve. You’ve taught us so much. That said, we watched for months to get ideas and cost. Very disappointed you did not give ANY idea of cost. Still love you guys to pieces. Can’t wait to see your house build. Congratulations on a job well done!!! Thank you for sharing your journey. Seems like it wasn’t that long ago that you started the project. Enjoyed watching the countdown of the number of bags for the walls. Enjoyed seeing your dad visit and help. Enjoyed seeing the children commit to the project and learn from the project. So much fun. Thank you. I'm trying your earthen plaster coat for our project. We put in our earthen floor one year ago. 600 square feet. 110 wheel barrows full but who counted? We laughed when you shared how hard it is. I thought my hands would never heal.. But the feel on the feet is amazing. We look forward to watching more of your adventures. Hey guys great video, it shows how much you as a family are proud of what you built. I have enjoyed watching your everyday videos about "Gotta get this shed done". You gave me a lot of good ideas for my next build.I'm really looking forward to watch you build your house now. Do you are have an idea about what your house is going to look like? If so it would make an interesting subject for a video. I have plans to do a RU-vid channel about my new home but I will not be doing the building. It's too big of a project for me at 74 years old so I will have a contactor do the initial building and I along with other people will do this finished work.

Love that you had a clip of that pesky T-Rex in this too. Wow, 80 tons! I can believe it took months, 8-11. Dirt cheap. I love the door color. The wind chimes on the overhang are so cute. Love the flying birds on the wall. The plant above the arch is great. The round bed is fantastic. The covers over the batteries and the fuse box make it look very clean inside. Love the interior decorations. thanks for showing the inside in its entirety.

It's guaranteed that the texture on your west wall will reduce heat gain. Just like a heat sink on a computer, or a radiator in a car, more surface area means more chances to transfer heat back to the air.
