Thank you for these series of videos. I've only been to LA once, but reading the books, I often find myself pausing and grabbing my phone or my tablet and looking up the locations that Michael mentions in the books on Google Maps! The descriptive detail for me is just right, not too much, not too little. Just perfect in every book.
Wait a minute! You guys walked past the Bradbury Building but didn't duck into Blue Bottle for an espresso... or did you just edit that part out? Just kidding. I love LA and if you can't be there, then seeing it through Michael Connelly's eyes is the next best thing. Or even if you are there, Michael is a brilliant, incisive guide.
How was this video made? Was a Steadicam or DJI Osmo Stabilizer used? Michael naturally bounces up-and-down as he walks, but the camera, and thus the background, remains perfectly even as the interviewer walks alongside him.
