x²+3x=4x x²=x x=1. The extraneous solution of 0 does not work because 0+3≠4 (checking solutions into the original equation)

I don’t know if this is a correct way to do this but what i did was x times x+3 and x times 4 to get x squared + 3x=4x then subtracted like terms to get x squared=x and then did the square root of both sides to get x=1

I think we can, because we are doing it on both sides of the equation. I came up with: x² + 3x = 4x.

X^2 + 3x = 4x, but why, answer is obviously 1, to make it quadratic? If so, x=0 as 2nd solution gets rejected here

as the power of x => 2 there's now 2 solutions.
