Just thought to point out that the F-14 would have been really helpful against those F16s. Your Mirage IIICZs simply didn't have the range to deal with the F-16s in time nor the time over target to patrol close enough to the front to be helpful. The F-14 could have patrolled the skies for a while and shoot at those F-16s right as they spawned.
As someone who has played quite a bunch of Blue Marines, unfortunately the F-14 is arguably the best ASF option you get. The only real alternative is the Aussie Phantom, but that is also a plane that just can't keep up with meta ASFs on its own. I personally run a card of each. A couple of rules for success: -If you can avoid it at all, don't go 1v1 against workhorse/super ASFs (i.e. KWS, Block 15, Rafale etc.) with the Phantoms. You should have at least two (or a Tomcat as well) to avoid feeding them piecemeal. -The Tomcat on the other hand can do quite well on its own. Just have it circle at the very back of the map behind the cover of your own AA and stay as far away from enemy ASFs as possible. If you chose to engage them, approach from as far away as possible, fly straight until two Phoenix missiles are in the air and then instantly turn back to spawn/evac. The Phoenix is not very accurate, but when it hits, it hits hard and with crits it can even oneshot 10 HP planes. i thought because they are not F&F missiles you had to keep aiming them til they hit the target or they would miss like how AA works. might be wrong though.
Oof xD not my finest moment here xD wp though, was totally unprepared for those sead helos - i have never faced them in ranked either so was surprised my otos kept dying xD and the rocket pod lynxes were mean to my pore infantry :)
@@Stealth17Gaming yea i had stingers and LVKV90s, but when i surrendered you had such good map control, and i hardly had anything on the field. Also i hate playing against AMX10s :P I think i had recognised the super cobras for what they were a little eawrlier and focueed on bravo could have been different, but i was a little insulted you took golf from me ;)
Super cobra extremely niche for its high cost. It doesn't help that it only has 6 hp so gets oneshot by crotales, and its main other draw, its AT capability with its TOW 2, the longbow does better It's pretty decent vs scandi because most of scandi long range antihelo AA is radar guided and scandi doesn't have any great AA helo options
