It was a pleasure to virtually take a walk with you.:) Love the way you are using light. I've been using RF 35mm for one year and now this is my favorite lens.:)

Loved seeing how the light really changed the feeling of the pictures. Those mushrooms in the log were so cool. It's winter in the northeast of the US and mushrooms are very few and far between. Definitely looking forward to fall.

That was some creative shooting to get the result you imagined. Great job.

Very nice images from the area you are . In I really like the whale Carved inthe tree that was on the ground H would not necessarily have been a macre shot but it would make an amazing photograph story just as your shot of the mushrooms inside the tree stump.

Brilliant video. I mostly shoot ambient light, and the idea of an ocf for this never occurred to me. I've been wanting to buy the ad200 for sometime, but as a landscape and nature photogrer I couldn't justify the expense. I can actually see application of what I thought about doing, confirming the use case. Thx.

I've done a bit of Focus stacking , but never thought about blending 2 or more pics. I use Canon DPP4 and think it can be done there, thanks. I tend to do bird photography and find it hard to focus on the small stuff when out and about. I suppose I have to leave my big lens at home and take your advice, put my bag down and have a good look around.

Hi Andrew...wonderful video. What tripod are you using its very versatile and compact?

Good video touching on different subjects and areas of macro photographing. I have the R5 and it also have the focus bracketing function. Did you find any perticular number of shots wich would be a to go to setting, and which setting on the focus steps/distance ?

Love that! Andrew, quick question: is that flash-trigger don't disturb when you mount your camera upside down on your tripod?

Another great and very informative video. I need a flash, but on a bit of a budget. How would the Godox TT 600 work with a Canon EOS R? Thanks

Hi Andrew, I really enjoyed your woodland walk macro photography video. Please can you advise me if you needed to buy the Canon AD-E1 Shoe Adapter to enable you to use your Godox XPro transmitter on the new Canon R6ii? I was under the impression that due to the new design of the "smart" hotshoe on the Canon R6ii, older canon flashes and attachments wouldn't work unless you used the adaptor. Thanks again.

Hi Patrick, I just used the same transmitter without any adapter and had no problems at all.

Great video as always… What are your thoughts on the R6ii? As a nikon shooter I’m still waiting for an affordable mirrorless system that actually works. I’m considering an A7iv but lack of shutter speed for wildlife concerns me, as does canons stance on third party lenses.

is that merging focus stack in camera something new for modern cameras? if it is that be something really cool to go indepth about. hopefully the R5 mii has that, going to upgrade my R6 to a R5mii

Andrew, I'm hoping you'll be able to help me! I've just picked up the canon RF 100mm macro lens to go with my Canon R6 MKII but testing at home has me tearing my hair out. My lens/camera seems to be focus hunting. If I hold down my eye detection AF (what I normally use for wildlife) it will focus on my subject but as soon as I release the button it goes back to bouncing between 0.26m and infinity. Do you have any suggestions for in-camera settings for macro? Is my lens faulty? I can't get my head around it.

I was watching you do the focus stack as I have the R5 I tried the focus stack but mine didn't work out like yours did so don't know what I did wrong
