Your suggested steamer comes with a face attachment. Once you steam for 20 minutes with the dome, remove the dome, add the face attachment and let that steam the nape of your neck for another 15-20 minutes. Works very well for my nape and the sides of my hair.
Girl you be definitely educating us! Ok ok ok I’m going to pull my steamer out more often and stop being lazy especially since I’m doing my length retention challenge 😉
Hey SheRea♥️The first time I got a steam treatment was when I got my hair braided in a salon. It felt so goooood!! She cleansed my scalp then put me back under again then she oiled my scalp and massaged it. I think sis was trying to make me go to sleep 😴😃.
I’m able to steam the nape by sitting in a chair with adjustable height, like a computer chair. I set the steamer on my desk and sit in my computer chair. It takes some maneuvering at first, but once you’re in position, you got it🙏🏾
Gets debit card ready to order . I did your black rice deep conditioner I love how my hair felt after but I don’t think my cheese cloth strained it enough I had little bits in my hair even after thoroughly washing but I’m going to try a nut milk bag from amazon i ordered hopefully it’ll work. I’m on my journey of restoring the thickness of my hair then onward to booty crack length
I just pulled out my steamer 2 weeks ago , after not using it for 3 years. I'm already seeing a difference. Thanks for the extra tips. I will be careful not to over steam and will not use tap water anymore.
I will shout it from the Heavens, get a steamer, your hair will thank you. My hair has done a 360. A hooded dryer did nothing for me, my cuticles refused to raise😭😭 until I used a steamer.
I love all the information you dropped on steaming😍😍 I’ve been wanting to buy a steamer for a long time but every single steamer has bad reviews NOT one has more than 3 1/2- 4 stars... And it seems like the bad reviews are for the same reason... “broke after one use” “broke after one month”😫😫 but you said you had yours for 5 years... dang girl you really make me wanna buy and try. But I totally see the benefits of steaming💯
Girl, same. I broke down and brought one off Amazon, best decision ever. Only thing is you have to follow the directions for maintenance and use bottled water to cut back on hard water build up. A steamer is a must for low porosity girls. It has changed my hair for the better. My LCO lasts a full 5 days. My twist stay juicy all week.
You can also steam with a hooded dryer because I can’t be Bothered with that extra tool. I’m I just douse my hair with a lot of water after applying my deep conditioner. I spray my hair down until it’s dripping wet and then apply a shower cap and then sit under my hooded dryer. And I want to take it a step further I soak my hair and apply a wet towel on top and then add my shower cap and then sit under a hooded dryer
@@crazikai I’m 5 months late but I did watch it however the example I gave is moist heat by using a dripping wet towel before putting a plastic cap and using a hooded dryer. Some people can’t afford the steamer so this option is similar. Look it up
I love my clothes/fabric steamer for this reason. I notice a difference when I skip the steamer. I have never had room for a hooded dryer so I use a hot head for DC and my fabric steamer tucks away in my closet.
I just got a steamer and tried it for the first time with a hot oil treatment and I loved it! However, I'm almost afraid to keep the one I got because it says to use only mineral or tap water, and I know most other ones say not to do that due to possibilities of that causing build up. I'm definitely not trying to repurchase another one anytime soon just because of the wrong type of water causing problems 😒.
I want to say , I LOVED YOUR VIDEO AND YOUR PRESENTATION. My hair seems to be so very dry, literally sucks up moisture. I just purchased a thermal hair heat cap. How many times a month should I use my thermal cap? I also have color in my hair. PLEASE HELP! Everyone says my hair is strong, but it looks brittle at times. Blessings
The one step I feel that's missing in all the videos I've reviewed on steaming is, what next after you rise out the conditioner?? Do we apply oil after towel drying?? When is oil applied?? When I wake up the next day what are the steps?? I find once it drys it doesn't look the same as the day before. Help me with those steps please.
Loved the video/live chat!👍 I use ayurvedic herbs on regular basis, I'm high porosity so do you recommend me using a steamer? I typically put a plastic cap on my head and then my bonnet on top for warmth.
My mom gifted me a steamer for Christmas (per my hints lol) and I still haven’t used! I know shame on me....definitely need to get to use within the next month. I’m still using my hothead
The steamer sounded good at first with the pros, but when I heard those cons, I might pass on getting one. Most of those are deal breakers for me. But I'm open minded, so I still might get one just to try it out.
I’m late seeing this video and new to your channel. You said that you air dried your hair then put on the deep conditioner, do you do that on clean washed hair? Or did you wash after in the shower?
Question - why would a high porosity hair person get under a steamer, because their cuticles are already lifted. One of the things it seem they should be trying to do is close those cuticles. A little confused🤦🏽♀️
Hi thank you for this wonderful video. I just got my hair steamer yesterday but the instructions says do not use distilled or filtered water but in the video you say we shouldn’t use regular tap water please am a bit confused. My steamer is RedPro. I will appreciate your response
@@SheReaDelSol thermal treatment heating cap. That is all the packing says . It has a plastic cap that goes under. I got it from Amazon. But I had tried it and my hair felt so soft . Trying to send pic of the packaging. But it is Pink . And it was not expensive. Two heating setting hot, warm. My phone is dying.will take pic later and send it to you .tomorrow ok. Good Night..
G.M. Still trying to send you a picture of the Steamer. You probably seen them on Amazon. Or in advertising on U-tube or Facebook. But I did use it once and it works my hair was soft and felt very manageable.. but I am still using the Aloevera and rice water for hair daily.. starting to get things together for mask, and prepoo but I have to travel far to get them. Amazon can be out of stock..
She probably has high porosity hair like me. Steaming sounding amazing but my hair would get waayyy too much moisture and would probably end up with moisture overload I feel.
SheRea DelSol lol I want it but my bank account said no! If she does a black Friday sale I'll be stocking up on those 16oz clays 😊If you do get it tho, I hope you enjoy it ❤️!
