I do so wish we had a way to know what if anything is experienced after death. I came to this understanding when I lost my son 2 years ago. I can't help but think he still exists. I don't think I will ever find rest or peace over this loss. If you have any teachings that could help me cope with this I would be forever grateful. ❤
What has occurred to you is immensely painful. What may help is in seeing clearly that your son, what he actually is in reality, is not something that can be born or die. Sentience is not a thing that is possessed by these material bodies. You have to see clearly what Sentience is, then the mystery of birth and death will be resolved. Who observes the mind and its layer? When you operating from the agitated layer of illusion, was the witness in illusion? Did it become mindful or peaceful? You are the witness. The steady, the unchanging. Not the mind.
