It’s such a joy watching you paint. I can definitely appreciate what you say about plein air painting. I have jut started painting plein air a few months, and it has taught me to paint with less hesitation, make decisions faster, and simplify!

My wife and I feel we have been on holiday with you and learnt something in The process (Chattell House) your cobalt blue has really made these pictures it must be something to do with the environment. Hi again, I don’t always paint the colours exactly as I see them. Sometimes I look at the colours and see what colours harmonise together on the paper. The most important part is to get the value right. Hope this helps. Best wishes, James
