Good to see you again. I went to see my friend Vicky the other day. She is coming round some day to see my collection of soldiers. I went to her house to see her car collection, she is quite a tidy woman. my room is much smaller the my last home, so all my stuff has to fit in a smaller space. My American friend said my collection was AWESOME!!!! I told him about you're channel. Us army guys are in a little gang of our own, but I'm proud to be a part of that community none the less!
When I was young I used to go to this shop called Boyes and pick up a bag of dark green soldiers of 100 in a bag for 99p. They don't do them anymore but I was lucky to get quite a few of them. I also went to an old junk shop and picked up an assortment of soldiers including some Germans and Japanese too. You can even get pink army men from BMC too! Luckily my dad never threw away my soldiers like he did with many of my other things including my old PC from 1993! I just need to get a pack of orange soldiers then I will have all the colours I need for my full collection.
Just so you know, BMC do now do yellow and purple soldiers too! The only colour they haven't got in stock yet is the orange. I E-mailed him the other day and he said they are in the pipeline but it's could be months before they get them in stick! Their brand new so it's going to take a while. Just log into your BMC account and you should be able to get some army men and women in yellow and purple if they haven't run out! I even have an old 90's Bucket O Soldiers from toy story. I got then from a market stall in Darby 5 years ago, only a small amount are missing and I don't have the parachute soldiers but their still cool! If you look enough online you will see there are many toy soldier companies out there, I even got some aluminium antique soldiers I imported from France! You can pick up a bargain at a garage sale or car boot sale if you know who to talk to. I also like to collect a small amount of police and security figurines too. The reason I collect security is that they can carry guns and some are trained by military and even special forces, I also know a security guy that wanted to join to army but couldn't because he is autistic. I also tried to join the military, but I too cold not due to the fact I'm also autistic! If you want a specific army made you could always write a letter to some of these soldiers companies, I wrote to Jeff Imel about getting orange soldiers and grey police figurines and some North Korean, and now he does them, I don't know if is because of my letter or it's just a happy coincidence.
Same, I really hate that they made the Germans in blue though, idk if they assume everyone is going to paint over it, but I really wish they just made them exactly the way the vintage ones were.
