2:07 I love these wholesome moments. Literally every time that kid looks at that slab it will be a memory of him going to a big show with dad and haggling down an expensive card and just everything about moments like that are awesome.

This is so true! I still remember selling a child a PSA graded Ho-Oh for a whopping $10! They were so excited that they were able to start their grading journey. It truly is a special moment to see the next generation getting excited about Pokémon from a place of pure joy without a care in the world on market price.

Excellent trades. I read 30 comments and didn't see anyone mention this: That 2001 Web Gengar trade was very interesting. I wasn't sure why that bigger guy wasn't negotiating this time - he was in a previous video of yours and nit-picking the amount you gave him for his slabs! This time, he was cool paying full price. It'd be a good card to keep track of for future reference. My favourite fire pokemon is Groudon. I wish Salamence was considered a fire-type, he's a beast and can learn fire moves.

Another banger as per expected. My favorite fire type pokemon is volcarona! A bit of a weird one I think, but I just really like its design and I used it to finish top 100 in rating battles in Pokemon X/Y, thanks to its strong fire type special attacks it was able to do really good in the steel type dominant meta. I also collected every volcarona card ever printed including stuff like the staff prerelease!

I love the fact that on one side you are holding your end on prices that are neccessary to keep the engine running, and the on the other side you give out good deals, for example to the kid at 2:00 mark, which creates a really nice athmosphere for me and it draws out a very nice person.

Came back to the hobby since the early 2000s, so there's a lot of catching up. Awesome video! Do you sell or trade for other grading companies besides PSA and BGS? I know PSA rules the space, and BGS Black Labels are sought out, but what about CGC or ACE (Randolph Pokemon)? I just did my first grading ever and went with CGC and got Pristine 10s, and some say they're valued higher than a PSA 10. Just want to get some feedback from the community so I can learn more. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Some of those psa 10s are way off center. This is why I refuse to buy psa and stick with BGS and CGC smh. Better quality control and cheaper.

its cool an entire generation has now grown up being told "those cards will have value when ur older keep them" and seeing them bring in their old played gold stars and getting a few hundred dollar pay check is pretty cool lol. its not the thousands they may have expected but cool nontheless. im new to collecting and after watching this video I noticed those gold stars don't seem to matter condition wise its simply the merit of having them and now I aswell find them so cool lol I'm a bit younger so I grew up with some lvl. X pokemon and delta species, but my whole collection was lost in a flood, finally getting back into the hobby but wish I never stopped man.

I’ve never been to a trading event like this with cards. I trade Disney pins and usually when trading we keep values at what eBay sold is and each trader’s pins are at 100% value. Is it because they’re trying to trade up that you’re valuing their trade at 80%? Or no matter what they have you’re valuing at 80%?

I don’t own a single Pokémon card but every Sunday morning I have an hour and watch your upload, learnt loads its very interesting. I think a good idea you should get a dollar card bucket and let small kids help themselves, saw it on someone else vid and it’s a good idea 👍 also it draws the parent in to buy 😂
