Troy has an awesome collection I must say. You can also see the difference in his setup compared to other "standard" poison dart frog terrariums in the US.

I am brand new to the hobby, and I want to do something kinda like this. I am trying to use everything that Troy puts on his RU-vid channel to mimic. I wish I found dart frogs before planted high tech aquariums

Nice tour. Realy beatiful. I have two questions. 1. I think about trying a new setup with sponge substrate. Can you recommend that in therms of long term use? Which ppi? 20 and 10 underneath? 2. The water feature. I would like to have a water feature, but i'm not sure if it works after 2 ore 3 years. If the plants are fully grown and i have to rip everything out to reach the pump...i would be very unhappy.

That room is bomb and the terrascaping (esp the moss) is amazeballs! Unless they fairly recently hybridized African Violets to remain “mini” those may actually be a form of Sinningia; same family, growing habit & ease of cultivation. My experience is all AVs sold as “minis” are just new plants that’ll grow to regular size over time. I recently heard Oak leaves (from trees -not Pumilia aka; creeping fig var) can be toxic to animals & fish when used as leaf litter. I haven’t had any experience so I can’t speak on that. If it’s true I wonder if acorns & Oak bark/wood contains the same harmful compound(?) Whoa, only a good friend would be trusted (& voluntarily) help clean someone else’s enclosures, do you do windows...? 😂

Absolutely gorgeous enclosures! What is the best method for getting moss to actually grow and spread? This is an open question for anyone. I've got multiple bioactive, high humidity enclosures but I can NOT get moss to flourish and I'm pretty consistently replacing it because it does off. All other plants do very well, but not the moss and I can't figure it out
