Taking a YouTube Break

I guess I would qualify as one of your older viewers! However I’m new to wildlife photography and I find your content very useful as I grow in my craft. Getting sponsors and being able to make a living isn’t selling out in my book. It’s simply smart. I have no issue with anyone disclosing how they acquired a piece of equipment and then giving honest feedback. I enjoy both of your channels and hope that you get the creative break that you need! I’m an enthusiast amateur at this point and looking for content that has a simplified work flow that I can relate to. I shoot raw, use topaz, and Lightroom only. I guess I’d rather be in the field vs in the office! Using a Canon R5 with a 100-500 zoom. There is no 500 or 600 mm lens in my future. I’m just looking to be more knowledgeable about the birds and animals I shoot, and working artistically with the gear I have! Thank you for everything that you do!

I watch every video! I also was personally surprised with the growth, such high quality videos and some only getting 400 views, thats not fair. As a youtuber myself with 1.6k subs I was growing consistently (over a few years) then I simply ran out of video ideas and didn't want to post repeated content, but then I got lazy and let my channel go downhill to the point youtube cut my revenue. So keep up the good work, you are on the right path just don't take too long of a break like I did haha, but a break is well needed to be able to deeply think about new video ideas.

Your energy and enthusiasm are contagious, Jeremy, and I think that is why so many folks of all ages and experience levels are attracted to your videos, including guys more than twice your age like me. I love your epic adventures, but I would not downplay the value of the everyday vlogs. Many wildlife photographers like me are content to go to familiar places over and over again, photographing a limited set of subjects during different seasons and in different conditions. The results can be amazing at times, but quite often the experience in nature is its own reward. I encourage you to share some of your less epic adventures and what you are thinking and feeling as well as what you are doing. Enjoy your break from RU-vid, and I wish you the best in 2023.

Always take a break and recharge when needed! Running two channels is a lot of work and we know you are genuine about all of it. And about your age - I'm 75 and enjoy that you are young and have lots of energy! I live vicariously through your adventures. Do what brings you joy and the rewards will come, even if they are not numbers!

Congratulations on your connections with the Klamath Falls event, one of my favorite birding areas.
