I have to say it: This set would have been NOTHING without Fazzi. The way his performance treated the classics (including his own era) was truly a testament to how timeless the earlier songs of theirs are. Don't forget, these songs were made to be sung in the shower, in the car, in the mind. Sung loud. Sung when happy, sung when sad. Sung when fucking pissed. Sung when heartbroken, and especially sung when in love. In my own personal opinion, this set wouldn't have reminded me of that all these years later if it wasn't for Fazzi's craftily humble and carefully treated presence. Cheers. 152.
Fazzi rules. And the nicest dude to boot. Bought one of his guitars off of him that was on New Again and he was so nice to correspond with and I met him after the fact and during the New Again-era, and he was always cool.
Normally I don't even comment on videos in general, but in this case I absolutely must. I am a fan of many bands covering nearly all genres of music, some very complex and imposing... complicated and technical. Dream theater, symphony x, rush, the mars Volta, just to name a few. But THIS... this sends shivers down my spine. The synchronicity between these guys is fucking insane, it's never overdone through the whole concert, every member has exactly the perfect moment to shine or bring out a cadence in each song, it is just so well orchestrated and their placement for each part is literally perfect. As a classical concert pianist and practicing musician of 9 instruments throughout my journey, i would dare say this is one of the best, if not the absolute best demonstration of talent I have ever seen. Love this!!
I was gonna say the same damn thing! (I did similarly in a comment below) but yea man literally never comment but felt inspired, really think that mean something when you do. We all have been so much bullshit these few years and somehow seeing these guys being real and creative makes me want to keep navigating around all the aholes in life and make something great. Best performance ever of cute without the e cut from the team and the best concert of theirs ever. Fazzi is what made them great, yes John and Fred sounded good on the recordings and sometimes sounded ok live but Fazzi just brought everything
With all due respect to fazzi who is an awesome musician, John and Fred are the main songwriters with Adam on their 3 greatest albums. TBS could have ended after Fred left and their legacy would be the same
I'm 20, watching this and listening to songs from the first 3 albums are like meeting a good old friend that meant a lot to me when I was 13. It's beautiful, thanks for uploading!

It's so bizarre how good his voice is compared to everyone else in TBS history. He sounds so polished and smooth, flawless pitch. It's the antithesis of Adam or John's raw voices.
seriously, matt rubano should've sang more and matt fazzi's vocals are honestly unreal. that man can sing. he added so much more emotion to the songs with his vocals.
Still love hearing this wonderfully pieced acoustic session. How could anyone not fall in love with these notes, tones, and piercing lyrics? Very well put together. Thanks TBS for many years of enjoying this set piece. Love it!

12 years ago I listened to these songs with the greatest woman alive. She is lost to me now but I would I give up everything I have to these songs with her again. I hope you still think of me sometimes. I still have this cd you made for me of this performance. If you see this call me please.
Think I've lost count how many times I've listened and watched this performance, they're so damn good acoustic, this and TAYF10 will always be my favorite recorded performances. Really hoping to see them at least once more when restrictions fully lift. Last saw them at the 20 tour and they're still so damn good.
lol, this is an absolutely exaggeration but you know, TBS with rubano and mascherino/fazzi was the best formation, and orensanz it's the only TBS record that i listen regularly
also this cute without the e is like a celebration of all their songs. the crowd, the band, everything is like a moment in time that could never be replicated.
@@efrainsaucedo3134 why sadly? TBS wouldn't be anything close to where they were and are today without Adam. The best voice doesn't always make the best music as originality makes TBS sound they way they do. Another strong argument is lyrics. Do you think lyrically Fazzi would have come close to what Adam has helped create up until now? If you think so, check out Fazzi's other bands after being let go from TBS.
darren porras I agree that skill does not equal creativity, that's the difference between a musician and an artist. I said sadly, because the lead singer typically should be the best singer in the band. But as an untrained singer you can tell that Adam completely ruined his vocal cords after louder now; this is especially clear when you hear some of their more recent live performances. As for lyrics, when you analyze music as an art you realize that lyrics are not necessary for the art of music, they are poetry, a different art that compliments music. Looking back at the history of music, most music didn't have lyrics until the past century; so if we're analyzing them as musicians, lyrics don't matter. What matters is vocal tone, sustaining a note, vibrato, musicality, harmonization, among other factors. Empirically Fazzi is the better musician, but to be a successful frontman a lot more is necessary, such as stage presence and charisma both on and off stage which Adam had in spades. So yes, they would definitely not have gone in the same direction without Adam, but it's sad that, being the lead singer, he was not the best singer in his band at that time.
Even tho i have downloaded this vid to my pc i still come back! love this vid. At Asaski, they played at my base in Germany at the beginning of 2012 and Adam sounded awesome
Just watched this again and after years of listeing to and watching "live from Orensanz" I'm still blown away every time. I'm not into meditation, yoga, celery juice, wasabi peas, or kale, (no disrespect if you are) but listing to this is almost a spiritual experience. Amazing show. Woul've loved to to have seen it live.

I don't understand some heater on these comments. TBS is by far one of the best bands I've ever heard. They keep it less dramatic a d they work so wonderfully together.
