why do people hate on adam so much? when they first recorded this song his voice was really high still and now his voice deepend. it's not going to sound the same. if you listen to tell all your friends and louder now back to back you can hear how much his voice deepend over just 4 years. and people put on weight. so what. it's not a lot, he's not unhealthy. he's just adam. you should be thankful taking back sunday is still performing and making music if you love them so much. stop hating on adam!
The fact that i can hear any of their albums and immediately recognize Adams voice attests to his amazing vocal skills. He took the changes in his voice and forged them into beautiful music for us to enjoy.
his voice "put on weight" it's just stronger.. the bass of your voice is the root, all singers that sing high sing really low to do so, it's a secret we don't talk about. It doesn't have anything to do with body weight.
I discovered Taking Back Sunday in 2004. I was joining a new friend group after a year in a new school with no real friends. I was 14 I loved their songs and then going into high school I went through the typical high school stuff and their music became so much more to me almost everyone of their songs could be made into a music video of any individual persons life. That’s why they’ve been my favorite band for 16 years
I messaged him on FB a while back saying how I grew listening to TBS and how much I love them and him (John) and he messaged back like a month later, what did he say you ask? He said ":-)" quote. I love that dude.

When I saw them perform this acoustic at Warped Tour 2012 it was one of the happiest moments of my life. This song is beautiful and perfect no matter how old it gets.
For those of you saying his voice is bad that isn't true. I just saw him a few days ago live and he sounds amazing. The band as a whole feeds on the energy of their audience, as many bands do. Playing acoustic isn't for everyone but I think it sounds freaking amazing.
I'm sick of seeing fans of different bands fight. I love Brand New. My favorite band, hands down. But I also really like Taking Back Sunday and Straylight Run. It isn't about the singing ability. I think the best kinds of vocalists are those with imperfect voices but make up for it with legitimate emotion. I'd listen to someone who can get their emotions across over a "professional" who just sings perfectly with no emotion any day.
Really happy see them together again. but at the same time i want Fred get back together with TBS. He makes TBS perfect somehow and his songs incredibly awesome.
Just saw them tonight- this was their second to last song.. Adam is older, but still a handsome man! Don't be rude because he has more talent than you'll ever have.

I know this isn't the same as old TBS but I love it. I know Adam looks different and even sounds a bit different, but this song is still awesome and emo as hell. I have always loved this song. I love this song more than you. As a matter of fact you hate this song compared to how much I love it. I loved this song before I ever even heard it. So ha!
@@dannysoto24 That album is actually my all time favorite, but I stand by my statement. I prefer this version, John just adds a little something extra. That isn't to say that version isn't absolutely amazing, this is just what I like a little more. That being said, I prefer the Orensanz version with all the other songs on that album.

@hurlcan I've said this a million times,but look at any performances before Fred left, Adam was an amazing singer. Combined with his style, he was probably the best frontman I've ever seen.
Adam never claimed to be a great singer. Most rock singers have really shaky vocals. "If it sounds like you, and it sounds like you mean it. People will like it."
I was a music major and can be a bit of a music snob. I love this song and the performance is good and all that. But all I can think watching this video is “damn Adam’s hair looks good!”
Fat or not, shaky voice or whatever, it's the song itself plus the way Adam delivers the song and the fact that a lot of people can relate and make us feel that this song relay those feelings perfectly. I think those are the things that makes this song great.

It's a B side ☺️, it was never on an official album but it is on a few of their compilation albums and they do it live often! There are a few versions on Spotify too!
I don't think the issue is the age as a number persay, they could be 110 for all I care, their music would still be awesome... it's just they seem to have changed so dramatically, and I make emphasis on dramatically. Adam particularly, to be honest. I hadn't checked their music in a while but a few days ago I came across and fairly recent interview of them and I couldn't recognize him at all. If it wasn't for the titles I wouldn't have know who he was. Great music though, reminds me of bettr dys
