Her passion for gardening is palpable. I appreciate her wonderful and energetic spirit. She’s such a beautiful person! I adopted a ficus that’s at least 4 years old recently and was struggling to understand why it was so damaged and sad looking and I wanted to help. I’m so thankful for the knowledge and tips so I can help my plant feel better again. 🌱
I bought one in Ikea, never really understood what "Don't water it too much and too often" means in numbers, but I water it with 0.3 liters of water every 7-10 days, depending on when I remember to do it. It's still alive and new leafs are growing, so it's a good sign :)
Thank you for the information. I got mine from IKEA as well. It has been shedding like crazy, when did that stop for you? Did you do something special to stop it?
I picked one up omw to the check out line at Aldi last week. I was charmed by how cute the bonsai was now I'm obsessed with taking care of it. Got a dog and got a bonsai. That's all I need ☺️
I bought my ginseng bonsai tree just yesterday from Costco and this is the 1st video I clicked on for how to car for your gin. bonsai tree.. . . . . . and I HAVE TO SAY . . . . .I have never seen anyone talk about how to care for one of these trees with such Love, Care and Enjoyment. You can see it on her face, just like sooo many comments are saying as well. THIS is what you call TLC people. Lol This Woman LOVES what she does. With such care and Meticulous detail. I will Definitely take her words for it. She obviously KNOWS what she's doing. thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge on this beautiful Tree 🎋
They're very easy to keep alive, just water it once a week. Even if you forget to water it for a couple weeks, it should be fine. I don't know why these things are so hardy.
I've had a Ficus for around 4 years now and I just repotted it for the first time yesterday, I'm amazed it's lived so long in nothing but peat and rarely being watered. There have been multiple times where I've forgotten to water it for close to a month!
Awesome! Do you think the ficus will be fine with maintenance and regular watering, without plant feeding ? Because I may not be able to use the plant feed stuff
@@porterchops.1233 My ficus is growing nice and healthy! It looks stunning and it's a pleasure to maintain and prune it, if I can I'll definitely use some plant feeder but it's holding up great for now, thanks for the tip!
Bought one at Whole Foods. Put it in too much soil and it got root rot. Would suggest being careful when they say “water until water runs out of the tray” not to put the plant in a big pot because then that leads to too much moisture in the soil and encourages the growth of fungus/blight. I notice all of hers are in relatively small pots and others I’ve seen in person that are happy are in a pretty compacted soil bed. This is something I learned the hard way.
I bought a small ficus a couple months ago. It's been a happy little plant so far, but I just learned so much more about it from this video. Thank you!!
I adopted mine 2 days ago because it looked very neglected i’ve been wanting a bonsai tree anyways I just never had time for it or to do research i’m so happy I came across your video and others I know a lot more than I did
It was a very pleasant experience to see you full of passion talking about what you love to do. Thank you for your little action-lecture, I've just bought ginseng and was looking to some advice. :-)
Absolutely brilliant learnt all I need to no I was given the very same plant yesterday so it’s been great to learn how to maintain fingers crossed mine will grow as big as fred
LOVEEDDDDDDDDD this video SO much , loved her spirit and love for plants , DEFINITELY helped me and kept me interested throughout the whole video 😅📸 Keeping my eyes out for more of your videos thank you so much 🤍
Thanks so much! I needed this! I have one and its been losing all of the leaves and I didn’t even know its name so couldn’t google how to help it! Till today!! ❤
Great video. The explanation and visual description were terrific. I learned very much. I have just inherited one of these little guys who needs rescuing. It was half dead and now after a few weeks is making new leaves. Instinctively I did trim dead branches and dead roots although I did it with great trepidation. But now I see I must do more and bring balance with pruning. This video has given me the courage. I’m curious as to whether the leaves contain the Ginseng remedy? If yes how do you use it for medicinal purposes? Thank you 1000 times for this great video. Cheers
mine has been my "impossible to kill" plant. I grabbed it at a walmart over a decade ago, broke off the glued on gravel and it has traveled across the US several times and is happy as a clam.
Such a great video and the way you explained it all, your enthusiasm is just inspiring to grow this cute plant. I just got me a tiny one. Thank you 🌸🌿🌿
I have he'd one of those for 6 years, and it have gotten water like once every second month, it looks so bad. Now I was going to trow it away, but I now think I will try to give it a new chance after watching this
I got mine from Ikea early this year. It hated its first place I put it. I think it didn’t have enough light. All the leaves turned yellow and fell off. It was literally just twigs. I refused to give up so moved it to near a bright window with a few hours of sun in a morning and it’s growing all it’s leaves back now and thriving. Mines called Mandy (she looks like a Mandrake from Harry Potter haha) deffo going to try the pebble thing though thankyou.
good to know. I bought one from Ikea too and all the leaves have fallen. It's all twigs now. Do I put it in the sun? Is there hope the leaves will come back?
