I missed you for a while! I was working on some bigger projects (and considering some slight career changes for the future) but am back with some springtime videos. While I was gone I did an interview with Refinery29: www.refinery29.com/en-us/youtube-creator-cottage-fairy-simple-living-mindfulness I hope you enjoy it! I will be making a couple book-themed videos this month as well. I am sending you much love ❤
Wonderful article!! It, like all your videos, speaks to those of us who want a slower life appreciating the simple things that bring us joy. Thank you Paola and wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Paola, do you still have two rabbits? I thought you got two new ones. A black and a white one? Haven’t seen the black one in awhile. Can we have a full blown animal centered video? 😍🥰 thanks for sharing
The bunny sitting in the bowl with a crown of wildflowers is so enchanting. Lovely video. I think for us highly sensitive people creating a comforting home is essential.
Nothing like spending your time in your own world with the simple yet important things that make you happy and feel a sense of quietness, peace and harmony... Paola, you are creating a wonderful space for yourself and taking us viewers along for the ride! Thank you so much!
We have lived in our very small home for 20 years. When people visit, they tell me they feel like they're getting a hug. That's the good soul our home has become.
I didn’t realize that the thing I needed to make this day feel magical was a bunny in a bowl. I can’t quit smiling! We’ve decided to embrace the dog and cat hair in our home and refer to it as “decorations”.
Paola, you are so lovely in your red dress, like a princess! The backdrop of your charming home inspires me to create something similar. Your precious animals enhance your presentation. Watching this video is the highlight of my week; I'm going to watch it again!
I received your post card today, which is absolutely lovely! I enjoyed this video so much. Your red dress is so pretty. And I laughed out loud at Miss Bianca in her flower crown and how she sat posing for the camera. So sweet, so fun!
Dear Paola, These videos remind me of a forgotten self. The past few years and still, now have been hard years for the world and myself as well. I agree with many of the soothing things you surround yourself with: candles, books, flowers, tea, animals, and nature. My home was filled with these. If a friend visited they received treats. Fresh flowers always on the table. Friends still light candles, offer tea if I visit them. But recent years were hard. Caring for parents, then grieving followed. I forgot so much about myself that I wondered why a friend was going out of her way to light candles or serve tea. I hope that your videos reawaken my soul. They give me calm. Remind me. Also, I don't see why these pasttimes or likes are somehow seen as unusual. There are so many shops that sell tea, candles and they're beautiful! So many people appreciate the kind of surrounding you create. Maybe it is that they don't create it themselves, but they do like it. Friends who used to visit loved my home's surroundings full of different kinds of cups and plates for each kind of tea or meal. But they say they can't recreate it though they want to. 12:36
@@christinekim5051Ma'am been through something similar. But I am glad to tell you that your soul does reawaken with time and in a deeper and more beautiful way. Your True essence actually never changes. It just gets covered with layers of grief, despair, hopelessness and soul exhaustion overtime. You will have to give yourself enough time and space to heal. Loads of love, prayers and healing❤
I love Bianca, the little scene stealer! She had me laughing. What a lovely creature she is. I do love hearing about all the things you do with plants. I am so happy to learn that lilacs are edible.
Your videos have become soothing to me! My daughter-in-law is getting ready to face major surgery! She is terrified! I made her a special journal from the Fairy Whispers scrapbook paper and I added one of your fairy cards! I hoped to lift her spirits! Your artwork is so beautiful! ❤
As many of us are constantly stressed out, simply watching your gentle, thoughtful videos are a very welcome break from all of that. So thank you so much!
Dear Paola TheCottageFairy This is Very Essential n Important to Keep Your Inner and Outer Wellbeing Absolutely Balanced, You Are Doing Genuinely Soulful Work in Your Life, You are Making a Difference in People's Life Through Your Amazing Work, Keep Continue Your Valuable n Mesmerizing Work n Keep Adding Value to The Life TakeCare and ThankYou
Yes her videos are amazing and they’ve changed my life (and many others no doubt ☺️) in such major and positive ways ❤️! Personally I think if she wants to not make videos anymore then that’s totally fine and she shouldn’t feel pressured to make more videos if she doesn’t want to (because then it wouldn’t be what she authentically wants to do) and plus we have way more than enough here already ;)
@@senbebe3320 Her video’s didn’t change my life. I just like watching them. Of course she’s in total control of whether she wants to make videos or not. That’s her space and nobody else’s. 🙂
Woke up today feeling grouchy since I had a messy kitchen to tackle....then I put on this video and my whole perspective changed!!! My kids and I will all have a better, more relaxing and enjoyable weekend thanks to you. ❤❤❤
Miss Bianca patiently and gracefully sitting there in her flower crown was the enormous dose of joy I needed this week! To borrow a word from Pooh, I'm already looking forward to the next "expo-tish-un." 🐰💮🍯
Your videos always give me a wonderful sense of peace. Thank you! It's interesting that you mention cleaning the kitchen. When my wife and I got married, she told me that she loved to cook but didn't like cleaning up. I actually enjoy doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen so we made a deal. (The rest of the house, not so much.) She makes great food and I get to clean up! The more dirty dishes, the better the food. That's worked out well for the last 42 years. I've even been known to do the dishes at friend's houses too. Silly me!
I'm similar to your wife -- the cooking is a joy, but the cleanup can be a heck of a chore. Partly because of certain people in my past who made a huge deal about being tidy, in a very judgmental way. So I kinda ended up being messy out of passive-aggressive rebellion. Not the best way to react, but I despise preachy tyranny. I will be tidy if I choose to be, and not because someone's preaching at me and being self-righteous. It took meeting my boss -- a guy who likes things tidy, but he's so not preachy about it -- for me to realize that maybe my own psyche might enjoy being a good deal tidier...I wasn't wrong. 😅
I always feel so much better when the spaces in my home are taken care of as well. Even when the act of cleaning isn't as enjoyable as I would like, music and the knowledge that I'll get to enjoy a clean and fresh space helps me get through. I also love decorating, but 100% agree that it should be practical for your life and it should also be with elements that bring you joy. When I first moved into my home, I thought I should make it look like something out of a Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel magazine. But as I've become what I jokely call an adultier adult, I've realized that incorporating elements that bring you joy is the best way to decorate a space. My kitchen and dining room are filled with local art prints that are whimsical and silly, but very fun. I also have an art piece that a friend got me of fairies riding chinchillas. Silly, but makes me smile every time I walk by. That is what making a home is about. Smiles. Building a space to make happy memories. Building something that makes you breath easier and love the moments you have with your loved ones in your home. Thank you for the lovely video!
One of my all time favorite video's. I could sit and watch Bianca on the table eating and sitting in the bowl for an hour ! She is just so adorable.. she seemed to like her little flower crown too.
Yesterday while walking with my dog around a local lake, I stopped to smell the intoxicating scent of the beautiful roses along the path. I overheard a person behind me say, “ There’s someone who actually stopped to smell the roses.” I thought…doesn’t everyone? The scent was so strong that the flowers almost command you to stop and take a deep inhale! It’s refreshing to watch you enjoy this simple pleasure on a regular basis. I have mint growing and love simmering some on the stove. It makes the house smell so fresh especially since we’ve had several rainy days. Love your channel!🍄🐇
Bianca is the cutest little bunny I’ve ever seen. How adorable she is sitting in her bowl of lettuce with her crown of flowers. That was a picture perfect moment. 💝🤗😍
Love your dress, love your things, your simple spiritual lfe, your candles and many, many things that share with you. Thank you for made a gentle better world!!
Your videos have inspired me to slow down more and to be careful and thoughtful with my words. Forgive me if someone already said this but a watercolor picture of your little bunny with her wildflower crown would be such a charming painting. Thank you for all of your videos.
My heart got so warm because of bianca and i was thinking, that she must have a really nice life and treatment living with you. She looks so happy and healthy and also free, soft and curious. 💗
When you decorated Bianca with flowers you gave me a chuckle. I love your peaceful videos. You are making a great difference in this world as you soothe the troubled hearts of your viewers and share what gives you joy.
Biana sitting cozily in her bowl wearing her flower crown was darling💛💜 I hope we get to see her featured in more videos. She's a natural in front of the camera😊
Hello, sweet Paola! You bless me with peace and wholesomeness, a great way to start my Saturday - yes it's 5am here in South Africa! With much love and kindness.
Your videos are so calming and inspiring ❤️ I also appreciate that (at least for me) there are no loud RU-vid ads interrupting the videos. If you did that intentionally to avoid disturbing viewers' peace, then thank you! 🤗
Paola, I purchased the beautiful watercolor owl from Etsy. My granddaughter was celebrating her 7th birthday. Her first grade class was dubbed ‘The Owls’. She has completed her first year of school and for her birthday present I had your lovely Owl image framed for her room. Thank you for selflessly sharing a part of your life with us. It brings great peace to a chaotic world. Love, Karen
That red dress is absolutely stunning on you! I loved your interview! I love your quiet life and am glad you are able to find what works best for you versus what the world thinks you should be. LOL! Miss Bianca loved your pickings! Love the simple life you live and I love my very simple life too!
Thank you for the reminder to change negative self-talk in our home. I have been guilty of that for some time, and now it is time to change. Blessings beautiful Paola. 🙏😍🌈
There is really nothing like your own hollow log ….our home is a sanctuary and a refuge from the world. Your house always looks so cozy and peaceful. Have a beautiful weekend. Much love from Australia xx ❤
Oh!! I thought of you 2 days ago! I saw a Momma deer and her 2 Bambi fawns. I slowed my driving and stopped to take pictures. One of the baby deer discovered a squirrel!! He followed that squirrel friend around the oak tree and onto a stump. It was JUST LIKE one of your paintings. I was in awe ❤
Bianca was having a lovely time seeing what you gathered, I didn’t realize the bowl of greens was for her! It is clearly the perfect size for a small bunny. And lavender sprigs suit her very well. Thank you for a walk around the forest-watching you wander through the woods brings up the smells of moist soil, grass and leaves after a shower, and those flowers must be lovely as well. I live in a small apartment in Manhattan, which could not be more different than your house in the woods. I am so glad that you have decided to share your thoughts with us, and I imagine walking through the forest with you, hearing your gentle voice, perusing your bookshelves, and holding Miss Bianca! Much love, Janet🦋
I just had an idea for a print for your shop. How about one entitled “The Cottage Fairy” featuring a young woman in a red dress among evergreens and wildflowers? And maybe a bunny or two! 😉🌸
I find that playing your favorite music while cleaning not only makes the time go quicker, but makes it more enjoyable. I love your adorable animals. Your rabbit will now be referred to as “Bianca Bowl” in my head. ❤❤❤
I started following your videos a couple of weeks ago. It's been hard learning to live on my own after 17 years raising a family. I miss my children so much. Sometimes I feel I am going crazy. Your clips soothe me and give me hope to find solace in living alone. Thank you for posting them. You are such a beautiful soul. Blessings to you and your loved ones. 🙏🏼🐇❤
OMG!! This episode simply took my breath away just watching you and Bianca in your own little heaven on the prairie. Life can be SoO simple, yet be filled with so much peace & beauty.. Thank you.
Hi! I’m a girl who does woodcarving and I really appreciate your video, because lately I felt like all my work looks childish and somehow it bothered me too much… thank you for reminding me that art is joy. The morning was joyless and full of self doubt. I feel much better now
Sorry so many comments 😊 But your Bunny Bianca is pure magical cuteness. Our 10 year old chicken is named Bianca. I had a couple bunbuns growing up. I Adore them. Love to you and hugs from Napa ❤
Thank you Paola. I moved out of the toxic environment , and living with the new man of my dreams. I always Enjoy your videos and love of clothing. Your such an inspiration for me! Thank you
I wonder if she knows how important she is to the world? 🤔❤ Because of this beautiful angel, I am doing better with my anxiety, I am doing better with being gentle on myself, I am now painting with watercolor and I have pressed my own flowers and use them for my art using a big thick hardcover book the way she taught me and so much more. I'm so grateful.
I had a stuffed white rabbit that I received as a child one Easter. I named her Bianca. Your Bianca is adorable, and reminded me of my rabbit. This was such a peaceful video, as all of your videos are.
I made the lilac rice pudding from your book last week! I used half the lilac to ease myself into the flavor, and it was delicious. You’ve inspired me to experiment with other seasonal and wild plants. I hope you enjoy what is left of spring!
@@cherylcosgrove511 Me neither, till today. It sent me on a book-search adventure, starting with Amazon and my local library. Naturally, Amazon turned up more results. People where I live are kinda not into plants and herbs the way our lovely Paola is. They're more obsessed with lawns that look like golf courses. 🙄😅 So our library kinda reflects that dullness. 😜
Oh my Gosh Paola !!!! I loved every minute of your lesson/message today! I tune in every week to decompress and become enchanted as I enter your magical, whimsical world where time stops to remind me of love, blessings to count and kindness! Thank you for taking us into your world! Literally - the entire WORLD needs more of this! I am forever grateful for your content and your sharing your wisdom……You are truly enlightened! Please keep sharing your message ………Your my dear friend - Can change the World! As I watch your video - we are having an epic thunder / lightening shower! Over 600 strikes in our little area! It’s incredible and I think I cherish it more because you have taught me to be still….be present ….bless you Paola! ❤
