I agree the cops neglected to investigate this. Judge Marilyn has power. She will follow up and send this episode to the DA. If the DA is worth his salt he/she will kick some cop ass and have them arrest the defendant for obstruction of justice and falsely reporting a crime. It doesn't matter whether the plaintiff is smitten with her and won't take action.

It happens way too often. The police take the women's side in most cases like this. There are men who are abused by a women for years and the moment they try and defend themselves the man ends up in jail. She says he abuses her often but I suspect she goes off in a rage and then he tries to defend himself and that's what she considered abuse.

No. He had been beating her without leaving marks throughout their relationship thus he got away with hitting her and hurting her multiple times before this. I would have done the same thing if I ever was in this situation, to prove that he has laid hands on her. She needed proof. So what if that was not actually his doing, all the other times were. And it is definitely scary to be strong-armed by a man, if you are the female on the other side. She felt helpless. She needed evidence. In fact, my sister used to beat the shit out of me all of the time, and get away with it with our parents, because there were not any marks, so one time I scratched myself and finally showed them some evidence of her abuse to me. That was the last time she beat me up so badly.

It's not the laws that are at fault, it's the biases of those that are supposed to be impartial. Humans are imperfect and there will always be mistakes but when one false accusations can destroy a person's reputation and even their livelihood, you know the system is rotten.

Yet, while she is completely destroying his car, he doesn't lay a finger on her. Not to mention, she makes physical contact with him when she "tried to take his phone away" and he still barely even defends himself. The man literally locks himself in the car to get away from her. Its funny you say that, because if she was dating a guy who had put hands on her and would put hands on her, she most likely wouldnt have done that and he wouldnt be calling the police. Officer safety (cause most cops are cowards nowadays), believe all women, women never lie, she has marks he doesn't, men are all abusers. Take your pick. This is our reality now. Unless there is video proof and even then sometimes it's not enough, men will always be the easy target for the justice system. What I find pervasive about it all is those women will one day raise kids, abuse the kid's dad and then said kids will grow up thinking it is an acceptable thing to do to their partners and the cycle continues.

The defendant needs to go talk with a Victim's Advocate, whether he goes to the police or not; many states offer them at no charge. He doesn't believe that he is a victim of domestic abuse & bears NO GUILT or fault. Healthy people do not handle their anger with the unchained rage of his monstrous abuser! She is a constant ticking bomb; I recognize her evil ways, far too well. He needs to square those facts in his head so he can fully escape, heal & avoid people who are just like her in the future! When my advocate told me that I was a victim (after 40 years of an abusive marriage) I was furious at her, but promised my children I would listen to her & do all she asked of me. Now, 3 years free of the monster, and I KNOW she was 100% correct. I pray this man finds the strength, before it's too late for him to escape. I'm proof you're never too old to taste freedom & true peace inside your own home.🥰

Judge Milian has power. I guarantee she will send the episode to the DA as evidence that the defendant falsely reported a crime, admittedly maunufactured evidence, and obstructed justice. The DA should kick the cops and their sergeant square in the ass for arresting the wrong person.
