As part of the e-NABLE volunteer community, I spend a great deal of time making free prosthetic devices for people who need them (mostly children who wouldn't be able to otherwise afford them).
Part of the process involves taking measurements of the recipient's hand in order to properly scale the files for 3D printing. Most often, these measurements are obtained from photos.
This video shows how to use the free Tracker software to obtain the necessary measurements from a photo in just minutes, and then how to enter those measurements into e-NABLE's new Handomatic web application to generate STL files in exactly the right size.
