Tackling the River Trent on my narrowboat

This is exactly what drew me to sub her and follow on with the journey, I'd almost started to hate "content creators" due to the new generation of vloggers and their shameless tactics and zero substance just striving to hit targets and be an entity online... Betty and her journey is just the medicine I needed to realise not all is lost... along with a select few others who specialise in certain topics. Betty on a boat itself is just wholesome and natural and it's further bolstered by everyone who's following along, commenting and just being decent human beings to each other in the comments... There's nothing more that needs to be done here but carry on being what it is and who she is.. Just brilliant

Yes I love seeing the changing seasons too! I'm a lot more aware of them now I spend so much time outdoors.

I know, I’ve been blown away by how kind everyone has been! I’ve always been wary of posting things on social media in the past because I know some people can be horrible online, but it’s really lovely that people have been so kind on here.

@@bettyonaboat well hopefully now the community is well established if anyone does come along with a troll attitude I'm sure they'll be sent packing with a swift left 😂.....and later on if things really pick up select a couple of trusted channel members to serve as admin. I do it for a couple of live streamers... it's really simple and just keeps everything polite and pg friendly. I'm sure you'll be there in no time!

That bit of river definitely varies a lot depending on rainfall. I walked alongside it in winter (when it was closed for safety and I couldn't move the boat for a few weeks) and it was flowing really fast then!

@@markrant1460 Do you mean the plank that's on the roof? It came with the boat but I've never used it. I just get the boat next to the towpath and jump off!

Ah yes, Alrewas and Kings Bromley are very close. The canal goes right through Alrewas. I’m glad it’s bringing back nice memories!
