Should You Get A Yamaha R3? | Beginner Bike | New Helmet Mic 

I'm just like you bro, everyone told me to just get a 600 but I knew the r3 was going to be my first bike

2018 R3 here, first street bike other then a Grom. The R3 is freaking awesome. I drive with a buddy on a GSXR 600 and he is never worried that he will lose me, this bike is fast. Keep it in the high rev range 7k+ and you'll find power and torque. Great bike, highly recommend!

Bought a 2019 R3 a year and a half ago as my first bike and it is incredible. It really is the perfect beginner's bike.

No experience on any type of motor Bike and I just purchase the 2020 R3 myself about two weeks ago.

I just picked up the exact same bike as yours a few days ago. Love it. It’s my first sport bike. It’s a great bike for any rider skill. A lot of guys buy an r3 when they have a liter bike sitting in the garage. It’s just more fun in most scenarios

Good video man. Started on a 300 for 2 seasons myself. It's a smarter idea and you actually learn how to ride. People's egos are too fragile so they listen to their friends and buy powerful sport bikes. It's not all about power! Ride safe.

It's good that you start on a low powered bike my friend. I started with a Gsx-R 125cc and now im on my Gsx-R1000cc, but if I started with a liter bike and I did the same mistakes that I did with the 125cc it would've killed me or brought me in a bad situation. This is for the beginners..... don't start with big bikes cause you're embarrassed, real bikers will not shame you! It's more embarrassing if you start on a big bike and you eat it cause it's more bike than you can handle. Plus when I go to bike meet-ups although I have a liter bike, I'll appreciate all the bikes that show up and I look at them all.

You are doing the right thing. If you are learning, 300cc is the best option. Maybe in a couple of months you will be wanting a bigger bike but this is because you learned.

I've a 2019 yamaha r3 with at 9800 miles on it great bike to start on made many rookie mistakes on it where if I were of made it on a 600cc could be a different outcome. About a year later im ready to make the switch but with my age insurance is out the roof for the r6

Honestly I have an R3 and I outmaneuver guys on R1's especially on twisty roads. Plus there is millions of mods for them. Its been a year and I don't think I will sell it. 👍

Almost bought this bike until I did a little more research. I started on a 2020 Ninja 650 ABS. The PERFECT beginner bike imo and many others.

I bought myself brand new R3 in 2019. I was deciding between it and used R6 or R1. Now, almost 2 years later, I am so happy with my choice that I don't think I'll be changing it any time soon. Other than my R3 I have ridden MT-07, X6J, TDM 900 and Ninja 300 and to be honest I don't see any point in switching on to a bigger bike.

I'm definitely set on the R3. But my question is would it be worth it to purchase one right now in mid October? I keep reading February is generally the best time to purchase a bike for various financial reasons, so I think I'll be snagging one then but just wanted to ask here in case anyone had any input.

Love the new r3 just wish it was solid blue. The miss matched tail color and wheel cover bugs me.

I dont get why other bikers give small displacement bikers shit, just make them look insecure. You ride what you're comfortable riding and what you want to ride. I started on a r3 now on a r6, two wheels are two wheels at the end of the day. Safe riding

I just picked up a used 2020 Yamaha YZF R3, under 1000 miles in the Team Yamaha Blue. My first motorcycle.

Not gonna lie the Suzuki is heavy, but I got use to it but I do miss my R3 it’s just that I learned it with in 7 days….

also: at 10:57 where you still counter steering at that speed or do you actually turn the handle bars when slowing down like that?

I have my new r3 coming in March to pick up my first bike. My only issue is I have no idea if I need to take the test before I ride or I need to take the test. I live in Michigan I did call but one person told me no one person told me I have to wait. If I could ride with out the test so I can use to it I would love that.

Jeans at least and a jacket, I wear riding pants (Sedici) or kevlar lined jeans everytime, with a jacket, (Sedici) gloves (Alpinestar) and a helmet(Shoei). Your riding "SQUID" style do better man!!!! GEAR WILL AND CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE AND YOUR SKIN!!!!!!!!! Very nice bike I ride the same Yamaha r3 and I had an R6, like the r3 better much much more nimble in the twisties!!!!
